I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but the only way to install the Rivian charger is to hardwire it. I guess you could run wires to the contacts inside the box and wire up a 50A plug to plug it in, but that seems more trouble than it's worth. My .02....
this is available when viewing your account page using the developer tools built into Chrome. Other browsers have similar functionality but call it different things...
Essentially, you log into your account and view your configuration, then open the dev tools by clicking the three dots in the...
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. Still not quite sure what I'm going to do, but it looks like my garage will be opening up soon, so this will be a moot point. Just need to get the charger installed now... (:
So, there was a lot of waiting involved, yes. I may have helped the process along by sending a...carefully worded email to both my guide and CS that was critical yet constructive regarding their communication plan. Sure enough, less than a week later, my 8 steps opened up and I take delivery in...
This is a noob question for sure, but is there an issue with having the box inside the garage but running the cable under the door to charge outside? I'm concerned about the weight of my garage door damaging the charging cable over time as it will come down on top of it as the door closes... Any...
For those interested, you can see my timeline in my signature. Was actually surprised that my 8th step opened as quickly as it did (6 days) and that they were able to schedule a home delivery that fast. I expected to wait... Then again, my SC (Miami) is brand new, so....?
So my time with your fine gentlemen in this thread has come to a close. As of this morning, I lost my shop access....because I finally got a VIN! It's a low 11000s and should hopefully be in my driveway in a few weeks.
Best to everyone and drive in good health my friends!
Nope, just a regular old adventure build. It's baffling to me to see people with the exact same build and a preorder date 2 years after mine get delivered. And i have two SCs within a few hours, not like I'm in the middle of nowhere.
Shop access is no longer limited to a week - you keep it until assigned a VIN (by either choosing a shop truck or your config is built). I've had shop access since mid June.
My opinion is that you gain shop access because of wait time rather than proximity to build date. I know I got it because...
Here's what's in my shop as of right now.
The CY and FG/FE shown above are there, as well as a Santa special, an ELCap with FE interior and 22 brights and a 2nd FG, just with a BM interior.
I'm in SE Florida for context.
Crazy thought - could the trucks in the shop also be dictated by rez...
For what it's worth, after locking my config on the phone with my guide, I got an email to sign the PBA. My guide also mentioned it was coming while on the phone. That was a month ago tho, so...?
And my shop view is thin today...6 trucks right now.
Glad to here it and congrats! I claim 5% of gross winnings... ?
My status has been PENDING_FULFILLMENT for about a month now and still no VIN or estimate. The wait is real
I did confirm my config before touching/driving one, but took a different route to get in the seat. I live too far away from an SC to get the test drive but looked up one for sale at a local dealership and got to see/drive it that way. I'm sure there are plenty in the Boulder area that are for...
@Ronin and @LTD in CBTS - have you locked your respective configs yet? Just curious...
I was told by my guide that even after you lock your config, you still retain shop access. I've had it for almost two months and will retain it until I get assigned a VIN - which, at this point, I'm not even...
I'd say a few hundred of us at least but that's a total wild guess. From what I've seen over the last month or so, the builds that don't move quickly are the "generic" base builds. Those that have wheels other than 21s always go quickly.
