  1. Rivian Improvements Over Your Current Vehicle?

Upgrading from a lifted 2011 Toyota 4Runner SR5: 1) 15mpg --> overnight charging at home, and for less $ 2) WAY more torque for boat/camper/utility trailer towing, and better stopping power I presume. 3) Rear bumper beepers & hitch cam I added custom --> stock 360º cameras/sensors & more 4) 14"+...
  2. Towing Spy Shot - R1T Tows ATC Trailer

This appears to be a wrapped R1T, with a white front panel. Implies it is a pre-Launch truck, right?
  3. Arkansas

Welcome @bmosesso! There may very well end up being more Rivian sales in NWA than central AR, but either way I hope for more RAN sites all across our Natural State! I'm less concerned about having those near home (where I will typically charge) than having them spread around here and...
  4. Cell phone mount

I use a suction-cup wireless charging mount over by my left-front pillar. Only view blocked is of the pillar. Allows me to use (Waze) phone navigation peripherally, without looking down at all. In my mind this is safer than looking down at a dash display or center console. As with all...
  5. Age/Disposable Income Demographics

Funny, I started out looking to upgrade from a lifted 4Runner to newish LC when I discovered Rivian. Roughly same price range, and (perhaps more roughly) similar towing, offroadability, and luxury. But financially I am in the "old farts" camp suggesting cash and potentially some short-term...
  6. Arkansas

Bumping this thread with 1 of 29 pics I count from the Arkansas portion of leg 2 of that MT TAT run of R1Ts through The Natural State. Anyone in here done all or part of the Arkansas stretch of the Trans America Trail before?
  7. Time to delivery.... if I order now.

I actually added a Lightning pre-order, 6 weeks after placing my R1S pre-order. Just in case Rivian production gets off to a slow start or we start seeing problems with them. Just a $100 insurance policy. I REALLY hope to be dropping that Ford pre-order...."in a sh0rt amount 0f time"!
  8. RED CANYON Rivian Photos

Loving this description. I'm a TX-ex living in The Natural State now. Although I haven't abandoned the 'horns completely, I think Razorback Red makes a much better color for my vehicle.
  9. ??‍♂️ Some questions answered by my Rivian Guide today

I just want to clarify for some that "Deliveries begin January 2022" is in the broad sense of "deliveries". I just pre-ordered my R1S last month, and my configurator page also says January 2022.
  10. What are you going to pull / tow with your R1T?

A 5x8 utility trailer, and a few other things on occasion.
  11. Rivian plans own charging network called Rivian Adventure Network!

I did find other charging stations already in existence in eastern OK and in Amarillo, so isn't a show-stopper. And, plan B for those I-40 trips might just be my wife's ICE vehicle.
  12. Rivian plans own charging network called Rivian Adventure Network!

Amen, brother. Looking at the RAN map on the Rivian Charging page, there's a big hole just below the center of the USA where I-40 runs between OKC and New Mexico. I live in Little Rock, and my hometown is Amarillo, so I travel that stretch semi-annually. Appears to be the longest stretch of...
  13. Arkansas

Thanks for creating this Arkansas thread, Lisa! As a native Texan now in Arkansas, I appreciate your appreciation for The Natural State. Latest charging stations list I see on https://rivian.com/experience/charging shows stations planned for Texarkana and Ft. Smith (and Little Rock, plus a few...
