With excessive ( > 100 mi ) mileage, most places will offer you a mileage discount. Tesla did it for me when they drove a car from one store in the state to one closer to me. So long as it's new, you'll get full warranty and most states will require that the seller disclose any damages that the...
Yes, you paid taxes of 10K, the 7.5K credit offsets that, so your tax liability is now 2.5K. Since you paid 10K over the year, the IRS now owes you a 7.5K payment.
Conversely, if your taxes paid were 6K and your tax computation was 6K and you submitted the EV form, that would effectively reduce...
I paid a lot more than 7.5k in taxes for 2022. This reduces my tax payment so it comes back to me. I paid myself basically and the IRS offsets it. A credit can’t exceed what you paid.
Understood completely. I'll take the Velcro for now and maybe experiment with magnet options later on. When's your next run going to be or do you pump these out as orders come in?
How aggressive are you accelerating at the start of turns? I've burned through front tires faster than rears on AWD before, but only with pretty aggressive acceleration + turning.
Hi Bill, this looks like the best non-Rivian solution thus far. I'm not sure I like the velcro strap situation though. Any chance this can be re-engineered using magnets? The "click" sound as one slat hit the other actually made me think that there were magnets involved.
FYI - my 173xx 2023 R1T (12/22 build) does not have the roof plastic pieces either. This appears to be a cost cutting measure, along with the removed 12V in Frunk.
I just did mine as well and got the entire 7500 accepted. The only thing that seemed off to me was my original return resulted in a refund that was direct deposited whereas the amended return would only allow a mailed check for the 7500. Did Turbotax let you do a direct deposit?
This was the guidance I received as well - wait for it to come up on the Gear Shop and order it there. My guide did not offer to modify my order as was done for some others on here.
I had a similar problem with my Tesla Wall Connector and it turns out it was because we had a 60A GFCI breaker for the circuit. Once we swapped it out for a standard 6A non-GFCI breaker, everything was fine. I believe Rivian's unit has similar requirements so you might want to check that.
Some may very well be but perhaps not in the way you think. Pre-orders get cancelled for various reasons, a lot having nothing to do with the vehicle itself. Someone may have spec'd the vehicle out and had to pull out for whatever reason - Rivian made the vehicle and still has to sell it.
On...
Wow, that is the best timeline I've seen yet. You scored big. Enjoy that truck. Body panel alignment can be dealt with - so long as the major stuff is good, you did very well indeed.
Appreciate it ;)
When you say you ordered 3 weeks ago, you mean you confirmed your configuration back then? Or you started the whole process 3 weeks ago? If that's the case, hell you did better than most of us - I wouldn't even care if it was 22 vs 23 if that's your timeline.
