You still have the trip meters for setting your way points and such, why do you need the cumulative odometer in direct view?
Honest curiosity, I admit I can't understand your viewpoint on this.
I'm a mountain biker and this vehicle's primary adventure mode for me is getting out all kinds of...
On the contrary, I think he knows Rivian is the one for him, and he just needs to get over himself and pull the trigger.
2 final thoughts for me and then I'm un-watching this thread:
-Is it possible that OP is just some AI CHAT BOT that has been sent to drive circular arguments?
- If he/she/it...
Great job Kyle, I thought you did a fine job interviewing and maintaining respectful relationship with these key players.
Specifically glad you chose to ask viewer-centric questions and didn't suck up too much.
Keep it up!
Its possible that few people care about the odo as it serves little purpose other than overall reference. They put the odo front and centre on the app, which serves every purpose I can think of.
This isn't your grandfather's car, as evidenced by every other design decision they've made.
Cheers
This is a very interesting point that I don't think has been emphasized. The Lidar benefits the building of the model for the full fleet
The Gen 3 hardware, then, should be the main focus of the coming update, and what people are waiting for, if they choose.
Will Gen 2 hardware eventually...
Just buy an R1T and chill my man. You'll love it and those thoughts of pushing back against the scary march of enshitification will melt from your mind as you blast through the landscape.
Sheer driving pleasure, think of it!
You're probably right on Dune, on second thought.
Unless they killed yellow before Duals started shipping... I believe there should be some dual units out there.
I had a 1992 Subaru Loyale, paid $1700 (CAD). Drove it across the continent a few times and through terrain it had no business getting into. It seemed unstoppable and reached a bit of mythic status after MANY year of problem-free operation for me.
Then it met a moose.
But not for that moose, i...
Just got this notice in the mail.
I continue to be baffled that this type of litigation occurs and gets settled regularly. It seems egregious, but maybe I'm just cynical.
Anyways, I'm officially not participating out of principle, though the act is meaningless in the grand scheme.
Be well!
Okay sure, your opinion stands, highly contested.
Small point, if I may... The location of your apostrophe is important. The reason for it in a date setting is to shorten the full date to the significant year, in this case 2025 becomes '25.
All the best!
Oh... You had a '25 Rover, as in 2025, not 25' as in 25 - foot, as you indicated.
Also, implying your comment about Rivian air suspension being for show was dumb.
I drive a dual R1T, but I have had many a drive in quad motor variants (mostly Gen 1, but also Gen 2). The ride quality is and should be Imperceptible between the trucks. Tires make a difference, but other than acceleration and off road performance, they ride the same.
Drive modes and front...
I decided
Skipping Costco may have been a great idea in the end, I only wish I had Discount Tire to lean on...
My current situation is that I bought a new set of 21" Bridgestone Alenza Prestige, after my Pirellis wore out.
Because I run a winter set of wheels (20" Steelies from EV Sportline...
This is a fantastic addition to the conversation.
Great to see Rivian is providing redundancy and some needed factual backup to their reasoning behind the electronic - primary actuation.
Still, I do like my 4x mechanical handles... But I'll feel better about any future R2 fantasies.
Also...
As far as insurance goes, a spare is the best value you can get.
All you need is one time is a bad spot to realize the cost insignificance of holding your salvation.
