Somehow I looked over the part where you're pulling a trailer. That's a real range killer. I would just plan on leaving charged to 100%, and drive slowly. You want to watch your energy use in real time and try to keep it under 30% of full output. It's a pain, because even semis get pissed at you...
I like that you've already planned for everything well under 200 miles apart. That way, of you get hills or a headwind or something else to kill your range, you should be okay. If your range starts disappearing faster than you had planned, get in the right lane and go slower. Take it really easy...
That's actually not that bad for freeway with a crosswind. Honestly that's not too far off from some trips I've taken in our Leaf. I'm really looking forward to road trips with at over 200 miles safe range. (I've also pulled in to an unfamiliar charger with 1% charge left, but that's not...
Mountains and Bears... I guess that explains why I have another year or two wait. Of course, I'd feel a lot better being able to raise my vehicle 7 more inches to scare off a black bear.
If it's just a commuter car, after the price drop the Nissan Leaf is worth considering again. I own a 2019 one. I don't love it for longer trips, due to it being Chademo and maxed out at 50 KWH quick charge. Other than that, I've loved it. No problems. It didn't make any sense to buy one before...
I've been looking at the Buzz for years. It's between that and an R1S for us, just waitingon more information to make a decision. (although I do have 2 years to make that decision.)
