Awesome!!! How do you like the LE Green...my kids all liked that color the best so thats what we went with!
Did you get the underbody shield? I'm an Aug 2019 Pre-order, March/April delivery (oh well!) and am starting to think that the underbody option is the delay for me.....
Had a VIN for...
So, this is great, on April 26th, after signing the PBA the prior week, my guide indicated that my VIN was created...then on April 29th when I asked about the charger, reconfirmed that the VIN as created, but the vehicle had not headed into production.
Reached out today, and out of curiosity...
Somewhar same here, March/April delivery, even though I got the PBA, signed same day (April 15), my Guide indicated after the PBA that he did not know if it would be 2 weeks or 2 months (R1T, LE Green, BM Interior). May 1, still no delivery date or 8-step, and the only thing that does seem...
Well, that at least seems to have moved quickly...thanks!
My PBA took a week from my Guide Call, so hoping the VIN comes sooner rather than later...but 11 days from Guide call to delivery is pretty quick!!!
Does anyone have a sense for the timing between when a VIN is assigned to vehicle delivery? My guide indicated that next step was getting a VIN, but was very vague about what happens after that!
Definitely frustrating, and appears that the March/April delivery window is now OUT the proverbial window!
I feel for you on the financing, rates certainly are not going down anytime soon...
If the production teams are not giving the guides any detail on timing, that does not bode well for...
8/19 Pre-order, LE R1T, LE Green, BM Interior, March/April Window
1st Guide Call on 4/15, then a week to get the PBA....annnddd then....crickets.
I texted my guide after I processed the PBA, and asked about next steps, and if it would be 2 weeks or 2 months just sonI could get an idea on when...
My response, I'm gooing to add more options to my LE R1T, buy gear from the store....a response like this needs our support as it is a major mea culpa, and the damn right thing to do!
Do the right thing, own the mistake, find a solution....that should get some recognition in my book!!!
Well, for what appears to be in the range of $1.0~$1.5B price increase to their backlog (round math of course not knowing exactly what the consumer vehicle backlog is comprised of), Rivian just took $5.4 Billion out of their market cap with the overall market reaction to their pricing updates...
Aug 2019 Pre-Order, LE R1T
Was in line for a March/April Delivery in Colorado, but no contact yet from a Guide (so I guess 60 days best case?).
Definitely not a great Mar 1 surprise, and they could have handled this WAYYY more effectively, especially for folks in a near-term delivery window...
Page 124 of the Prospectus; might be awhile for them to work through the backlog it seems......
"Based on our current production forecast, we expect to fill our preorder backlog of approximately 55,400 by the end of 2023."
Hey all, not sure if you have seen this, but looks like something is bubbling and brewing (it is almost Halloween!):

Not sure if this is new, but pretty cool that on the Colorado Vehicle tax credit landing page, Rivian is front and center!!!
