  1. So it seems no one knows where the cabin filer is?

I asked Rivian online chat and my guide, none of them has answer for this. I'm not even sure if the truck has one...
  2. Rivian EVSE and 4 AWG

Depending on where your wires are coming in from. If you panel is at the same floor and just on the other side of the wall, that would be a no brainer to use the rear cut out. But in my case, the wire is coming from the subpanel in the basement and in order not to open up the drywall in the...
  3. Weird Frunk Lid Behavior

So I just found out that I have the same issue, but not because of the second level cover being up in vertical position. I didn't have the issue before the software update though. I did tried reset the system but not helping. Not sure what's causing it. I have the ticket filed for that...
  4. Rivian EVSE and 4 AWG

Wish I knew that when I ran the wire for the charger! I guess I went too much by the book.
  5. 22's vs. 20's - In depth discussion.

Ohhh shoot, I have the 22" and I'm in Colorado.
  6. Colorado Drive with 11 R1Ts

Thanks! Sounds like the 22" can still do some light off road. I don't plan on going crazy off road for sure, at least not for now. Did you air down the tire at all? Or the 22" side wall isn't thick enough and shouldn't do it anyway?
  7. Some thoughts about the R1T after one month

Yes, I agree on the pedal is mapped quite well. But I do realized that the pedal does have quite a bit of dead travel before the truck moves. And now I'm used to it but when I need to drive my ICE car occasionally, it got quite jumpy due to the muscle memory of the dead travel. Maybe to phrase...
  8. Some thoughts about the R1T after one month

Yea, right! How can I forget the Kneel mode! It was promised by the CEO before....
  9. Some thoughts about the R1T after one month

Totally agree on the phone app. Speaking of that, I mean, the truck is basically a giant smart phone with wheels. Everything non security/safety related should be able to be controlled through the phone app like starting the charging session, change a few settings etc,. One giant...
  10. Some thoughts about the R1T after one month

I have a habit of resting the foot on the brake pedal while not pushing for gas so just I can keep the reaction time at minimal.
  11. XPEL Full Body Glossy PPF Installed -- Reality vs Expectation [Photos]

Well, I was tempted to try it myself too. But with 3 kids running around the house, I don't think I would have the chance to concentrate on it. Maybe I can try doing the PPF myself when I get my 2032 R1T. :D
  12. XPEL Full Body Glossy PPF Installed -- Reality vs Expectation [Photos]

Yep. They're going to fix it. But this is definitely not a factory XPEL I was under the impression that for existing R1T owners, the XPEL deal is to wrap edge wherever possible without removing panels and will have cut out for the emblems. And for the Rivian Factory XPEL option however, it...
  13. XPEL Full Body Glossy PPF Installed -- Reality vs Expectation [Photos]

Probably the installer rush doing my truck. But at least they realized that now and going to make it right. I did have a chance to look at the tool xpel has and yes, the OEM package plotting looks like a better fit than from the standard database.
  14. XPEL Full Body Glossy PPF Installed -- Reality vs Expectation [Photos]

Yea, they did realized they plotted the film wrong from the database and they're going to fix it such as the hood, tail gate, tunnel doors etc,. But the cut out for the badges remains since that's the agreement we had for the job (wrap edge wherever possible without removing panels. cut out for...
  15. XPEL Full Body Glossy PPF Installed -- Reality vs Expectation [Photos]

Thank you Tim! I've talked to the installer and they realized that they were using the wrong plot like you mentioned above. The installer agreed to redo the work to fix it.
  16. Some thoughts about the R1T after one month

I have the truck for a month now, it's my daily driver and there are just a few things that I noticed and think it would be good to improve upon. Not sure how to feed it back to Rivian. 1. I'm a first time EV owner and whenever I enabled the cruise control feature, I always have my foot on the...
