That would make sense as there are no Teslas either on the list.
The only thing that I could find is "Only vehicles offered for sale or lease in Texas are eligible for this rebate grant."
I guess Rivian technically doesn't sell any vehicles in Texas?
I found this program https://www.tceq.texas.gov/airquality/terp/ld.html where Texas will give you $2000 for buying an alternative fuel vehicle. However Rivian is not a listed vehicle. The website says that the manufacturer must fill out the paperwork to be included. I emailed Rivian about it...
I changed mine from a max pack to a large pack and did the same thing to see if they updated my delivery window on their end. It was quick and easy. My delivery window has not updated and is still first half of 2023.
Drove by the Houston service center and there is a Rivian there! First one I have seen at the service center. White looks good!
Also looks like the service center is ready to open. They were power washing the parking lot.
Did my weekly drive by of the Houston location. Things are moving along. 3 chargers installed out front, 3 flat bed tow trucks, people installing outside lighting and mowing the grass.
It looks like we are close to getting it open. Unless the inside needs lots of work I would think it should be...
Did my weekly drive by of the Houston location. One Clipper Creek charger installed and they were installing more. Also the Comcast person was there. Looks like it is coming along. I'm hopeful for an April opening.
Building painted.
I thought they were installing charging posts last week but when I went by this week it wasn't there.
Still no signage that says Rivian.
I work out by the Carriage Point area and try to drive by once a week. So far there has been construction but no signs or anything that points toward Rivian. It would be a good location for a service center. Toyota has there gulf coast delivery stuff right there so there are tons of new cars...
I usually go by Mondays when I get off work. I'll keep y'all updated if something changes. Seems to have something happening but just general construction for now.
