  1. PSA: Possible Major Security Issue With Rivian Alarm System

Ok, I did some extensive testing and my car has this problem and more. My truck does not appear to have an audible alarm under any circumstance. I get into truck and sit on floor. Windows up. Wife locks doors with keyfob outside of truck. All phone keys disabled. After 30 seconds the truck...
  2. 2022 Rivian R1T vs. F-150 Lightning : The Closest Finish in Motortrend History

The Rivian interior design is in a different league for an American car. That is what is so impressive about it. American car interiors have a distinctly unrefined design no matter which brand. Rivian has changed that. It's sort of a mix between European and Scandinavian interior design. A lot...
  3. Fluid Leaking Under Truck

I know better than to lick the concrete. Much safer to stick your finger in the fluid and then lick your finger instead.
  4. Truck keeps locking & unlocking frustrations

    I didn’t know that. That’s good news.
  5. Fluid Leaking Under Truck

Yeah definitely no tube for Rivian. Appears to be a free for all from what I can see getting under the car. It’s dripping down from at least four different locations between the panels.
  6. Fluid Leaking Under Truck

Has anybody ever experienced this in other cars to this degree? I haven’t, including in other electric cars.
  7. Truck keeps locking & unlocking frustrations

Put simply, the key system in this truck is garbage and too complicated. The phone as a key is highly temperamental. The key card is inconvenient and highly temperamental. The phone key does not work when the phone battery is dead and this creates the need to always carry a second key. The key...
  8. Fluid Leaking Under Truck

Do we need to be concerned about this causing rust or corrosion over time? Not sure if the panel it’s dripping from is steel or aluminum.
  9. Fluid Leaking Under Truck

Does your R1T have an excessive amount of fluid dripping from underneath the truck? Whenever I pull out of my garage it leaves a stream of fluid down my driveway. I am assuming it is water as it has been doing it since I got the car three weeks ago. However, it is dropping several ounces at a...
  10. Service center crashed my R1T

A dealership crashed my 2011 X5 into a wall while it was in for an oil change. They repaired it in-house and it didn't go on the cars official record. They were a dealership that reported to Carfax, but they were able to mark the repair as internal only. I also made them give me an extended...
  11. Rocky Mountain Rivian Club Summer Drive - Aug 6th - Corona Pass, Colorado (from Winter Park)

Looks like fun - have you done this trail before? Think my 22's would be OK?
  12. R1T Loses Race against a 2.3 liter ICE vehicle (spoiler no video)

? Yeah, my R1T really slows down after 50. The BMW is definitely faster. Took it out side by side on the highway with my wife driving the X5, and the X5 pulls away pretty easily. Had the R1T in sport mode, lowest height, stiff suspension. Looking at the Car and Driver tests, they show 50-70 of...
  13. R1T Loses Race against a 2.3 liter ICE vehicle (spoiler no video)

I am not surprised. The R1T is not as fast as I was expecting it to be. It really starts to slow down around 40-50 MPH. It will beat my X5 M50i off the line, but after 50 MPH the X5 will fly right by.
  14. Passenger Footwell Light Not Working

When looking over all the interior lights and ambient lights, I noticed no light from the front passenger footwell. There appears to be an LED light assembly down there, but it isn't coming on. Anybody else have this issue?
  15. Limestone, Adventure, Black Mountain, 22" Delivered - Timeline Enclosed

Not so sure it is a lottery, but batching based on the parts they currently have available. I'd be willing to bet that nobody with my configuration has an earlier order date than me. For me, I really think it was the 22" wheels that sped up my delivery. If I had specd the 20" AT, I am sure I...
  16. Limestone, Adventure, Black Mountain, 22" Delivered - Timeline Enclosed

I suppose, however, my last 5 cars have been BMWs costing up to $105K, and aside from a free keychain and a coffee machine in the waiting area, the experience was no better than Rivian. Heck, when I bought my i3 rex, the BMW dealer sent me home with zero charge on the battery, and I had to rely...
  17. Limestone, Adventure, Black Mountain, 22" Delivered - Timeline Enclosed

Yep, since I am paying approx $67k after tax credits, I am happy and can’t complain too much. However, if I had paid $95k+, I would certainly expect better. Rivian has work to do.
  18. Limestone, Adventure, Black Mountain, 22" Delivered - Timeline Enclosed

"It's all pretty self-explanatory, so I'm sure you'll figure it out.......any quest...no? Ok, well, you're good to go." "Actually, I have a question" "....so that's how that works, pretty easy to figure out, you're good to go! See you later...." Stuff like that. It was painful getting any...
