Meanwhile people here are driving bloated electron guzzling SUVs. Itās hard to argue against an inefficient ICE SUV when a R1S is oversized for 90% of buyers and inefficient as well.
He didnāt personally do it and he may be motivated solely by the money but thereās no denying that it wouldnāt have happened without his drive, ambition and willingness to spend a whole lot of money. The cofounder title may have come from a lawsuit but itās hard to debate it when he did provide...
The only real DCFC in town is a brand new Tesla station that charges $0.44/kwh for members. The other is a 50kwh at the electric company that charges by minute so at max rate itās $0.24/kWh which is about $0.10/kwh cheaper than residential electric costs.
I donāt think suggesting to buy a different vehicle is asshole territory. If you need a grab handle on a daily basis and the R2 doesnāt have one then you shouldnāt buy a R2. It could certainly be an inconvenience for some passengers but itās not a safety concern, just a design decision by Rivian.

If youāre getting older and canāt get in a vehicle with 9ā of ground clearanceā¦donāt buy a vehicle with 9ā of ground clearance. Thereās also the tried and true method of grabbing into the steering wheel thatās been around forever in cars without pillar mounted grab handles.

This is good for a lot of people. Thereās a huge portion of the US population that makes less than $100k AGI and bought a new car last year. Theyāll only get a couple hundred dollars but thatās a couple tanks of gas these days. Iām sure there wonāt be any complaints.
The bag plus irons will fit and then I guess you toss the driver and any hybrids on the trunk. Seems easier to put the whole bag in the trunk and the beers in the frunk.
