I got my Uniden r8 mounted perfectly and hard wired to the rear view mirror. Follows tips on this short YouTube using blend mount wire taps and some 3M Velcro (similar to big EZPass strips pictured below).
Adding a few more pics of each wheel showing no damage/curb rash since they are coming off Friday May 19 and going into wheel storage. Tread depth is 9.5/32" (original depth is about 11/32).

The wheels were powder coated black. I'm returning to 20" AT Darks (with road tires) and these...
Thanks for the update.

I’m powder coating my 22 brights to satin black before I take off my snow 20s. Will send pics when I get them done. I also have the White R1S. I think satin black with fully dark tinted crystalline windows will be a great look.
I did the same thing with my 22 brights and don't even know where I did it. I have the 20" ATs on there now for winter and agree, rub away , they don't rub curbs.
Thanks for the information. Hopefully, Rivian will add this to our ability to configure in the system settings soon. . Sounds like if I do the wheel swap myself at my local shop is not going to have any real impact.
Any recent news on this? I had ordered a 20” AT Darks to use during the winter and just found another owner that wants to sell me his 20” ATs. I would really like to be able to swap wheels without using the service center. Has anyone had any luck or advice? Thanks
