I don’t disagree with you, in fact I hope you’re 100% correct because not getting a truck this year would be disappointing. But in fairness the Toyotas and GMs of the world can go in and buy 100M widgets and pay any premium to get them sooner than later whereas Rivian only ordering 200k is a...
BMW has done this with the new series of BEV vehicles. From what I remember on OOS Kyle mentioned the daily charge recommendation was in the 90s and it was based on BMW internal data gathered by customers.
I know there's little to no chance they'll let Tommy do all of the R1T's videos given the views they're probably getting. Especially because it doesn't seem like any other outlets are posting new coverage. But I think I'd find the day in the life stuff like this video more interesting than drag...
Unlikely it will have the same 500 miles but 400 miles of range in real world driving would be great. In addition to not looking like a transport vehicle from a video game, like the Hummer. Lucid will make a killing with a 3 row SUV offering especially if it can get a trim level under $100k .
I think there a few circumstances that are all being lumped into one. Daily around town use with parking overnight wouldn't require one to charge to 100%, Rivian recommends 70% while Tesla and others are in the 80-90% range. Road trips or other circumstances when the battery will not sit topped...
More specifically the battery pack. A warmer pack is a happier pack while charging, up to a certain point. That’s why the response is a bit vague. Preconditioning may not be necessary if you’ve been driving around constantly all day. But in the event you have been stopped for a bit can one...
I can't tell if the answer means it already preconditions so there's no user selectible setting, if they mean preconditioning as a whole doesn't do anything, or if the vehicle is currently incapable of preconditioning. There are varying degrees of bad.
My 'hate' derived from being turned off at their entitled whining. I don't expect MotorTrend or Edmunds to weigh in because I'm not sure they know what a "charge curve" is. What TFL provided in this video is one data point. I'd ultimately prefer those with a demonstrated proficiency in charge...
Hopefully this is attributed at least in part to software as a result of the newness of the RT1 and lack of real world data on battery and system degradation.
Also hopefully we’ll get some of the charge curve YouTubers to weigh in
Agree, there's been plenty of rumor many other Dems don't really support any further bills but are happy allowing Manchin and Sinema to take the heat. I submit the quickest way get Manchin and Sinema on board is to have some portion of money go straight to his coal interests and her pharma...
I'm a bit surprised as well as to all this talk of poor efficiency. These vehicles were designed to be a truck and SUV for active folks first. If efficiency were the primary conern they'd have built something like the Model Y or Mach E which are both fairly low to the groud "egg shaped" cross...
Cool I guess, although the 0-60, 0-100 times out there for the Rivian suggest the end result. I guess I'm more interested in the charging curve since I'll have more exposure to that than drag racing.
Think that latest Carwow review mentioned the power drops off at higher speeds. From what I recall the tires are rated up to 130mph. But considering this thing is about 7k lbs I'm less concerned about power over 100mph. At least not on public roads.
I was looking forward to a 360 camera feature. I'm curios as to how the front/rear park sensors work and if there are any UI changes if the front or rear camera are selected while the sensors are triggered. It wouldn't replace a 360 camera but I'm curious if any of the cameras can be used to...
The day Tommy came on this forum to pump their video which was the most amount of whining I've ever seen adults do in front of a video camera was the day I unsubbed to their channels. Probably still won't watch this and hope for a TL;DW.
I support the question in the title of the thread. Is it enough to cancel your reservation, yes. But only if your delivery window is earlier than Q3 of this year. Anything later wouldn't have an impact on getting my vehicle sooner.
