Donāt have a R1S but Iām assuming from all the washer fluid pouring down the back that it comes on with the rear wiper sprayer. You might need to keep spraying to pump the fluid all the way through for the first time.
Love the patience and understanding you folks are showing here. Even with the major inconveniences, yāall are staying positive and rolling with it. Itās good to see!
I totally agree that at this price point a vehicle should be delivered ready for a cross-country road trip. However, unfortunately some of the non-revolutionary stuff slips through the cracks. It sucks but every manufacturer has it happen. Makes it a hard thing to catch if the vehicle doesnāt...
Unfortunately they probably wonāt do anything about it. I had 4k dashcam footage of a guy running a stop sign in front of me. I pulled out behind him and the camera caught him fly through another stop sign around a corner barely missing a jogger. I followed him to a red light where he had to...
I did the exact same thing in our ā05 4Runner and it worked great. There are certain situations when using fog lights only is the best way to drive safely. Doubt itās as simple to do in these smart trucks, but Iām going to try it.
I also covered the R1T fog lights with some yellow tint and...
Would it be possible for the 12V system to go dead while the truck is plugged into the wall charger? We leave our truck plugged in all the time when itās at home.

Rivian just needs to fine tune their software. There are probably too many things running behind the scenes that most likely donāt need to be. The amount of time your battery will hold its charge in a vehicle is based off of the battery type, the quality, size, and age of course. But itās also...
NOCO makes a really good portable jump box, the GB70. Itās a smart jumper, but has a manual override which lets you charge a completely flat battery. I keep one in each vehicle just incase and even jumped a dead F-350 7.3 with one a few weeks ago.
Both camps provide excellent reasons to either get it or donāt get it. All comes down to your personal aesthetic preferences and budget. If paint chips and scratches drive you insane, get it.
Itās a beautiful truck, but we didnāt buy the truck for its looks. Weāre planning on driving this truck...
I think youād be an idiot sandwich not to do it!
Haha, but seriously just echoing everyone else here and I say go for it. Looks like youāre getting some good positive advice from the group. Although itās easy to say that from my nice warm couch⦠?
I think the problem most people have is comparing the vampire drain on the Rivians to other more established EVs on the market with little to no vampire drain. Rivian is a new company making new high tech products and I feel like they should have done more homework and researched how other...
