I actually had this happen with a truck I purchased years ago. Whole bottom was covered in mud from sitting in the lot. So it's certainly possible. 🤷
@OP - anything on Drivecam?
Some good discussion here. Thank you for a clearly worded and detailed post. Not much to add, but just agreeing with the comments that it is frustrating that you were told they would replace it and then walked that back. Was that in writing?
I also believe they should provide a like for like...
I had to use these to connect a 1950's era battery charger at my grandma's place, to charge up her ancient truck battery. It worked, but the fact that I was using my Rivian battery to operate a 120v battery charger to charge a 12v battery was mildly silly to me.
Looked kind of like one of...
I bought a spare from the gear shop and it worked great when I needed it. No issues. When you say "the tire was defective", what exactly was wrong with it?
And just to clarify, you had it in storage for 25 months? Tossed in the back of the vehicle?
I understand you are upset but "Rivian...
Is this something you could use ISOFIX / LATCH for instead of using the seatbelt? Kind of like this pet crate with the base:
I think Rivian has the appropriate connectors for this?
- I like the camp speaker the few times I've used it. But the buttons are unintuitive as heck. Mostly now it just dings at me occasionally to remind me to take it out and charge it outside the vehicle, which is mildly annoying. Already had it replaced once under warranty when it started...
I agree with the comments about making sure the vehicle is sealed in a garage, AC on, try to force it out to a heating pad. You're sure it's still in there, right? Tricky for sure. Please give us an update how it goes!
Nice! I hadn't tried that one. I know some things don't like being "opened or closed" by voice assistant. I haven't messed with it in a while but I know my Google in the house refuses to open or close my garage door because of "security". I guess that's to stop someone from breaking in your...
This is an easy one.
Four years and some change ago, I knew I needed a new truck. The truck I owned at the time was approaching 270,000 miles and was needing an average of $1000 worth of repairs every month. Every day was a constant stress of "what's going to break next?" coupled with gas...
I was curious to see how they adjusted their pricing for that bed extender, since isn't it just the EV Sportsline one? Looks like EV Sportsline raised the price to match. Which I guess is fair, since it's still a pretty good price. But for anyone thinking they can just go to another site and...
I would try to eliminate all possible sources of issue. And some of those cheap adapters are 🗑️. Throwing a different flash drive in there is a real easy way to test if your issue is with the vehicle or with the storage device.
If the vehicle is not going to sleep, then yes - you're going to see that high drain and potential 12v battery damage. RR, ElectraFi, etc., can help you monitor.
Iirc, this issue last year was caused by vehicles trying (and failing) to communicate with the cloud server. It was a back-end issue...
Is it just me, or are we seeing more of these posts where people join the community just to post something negative immediately?
I don't want to speculate, maybe it's the old "happy owners are out there enjoying their vehicles - not joining forums" thing. But seems a bit sus. 🤷
