ATL service center was great. Had a quick walkthrough and sent on my way. Panel gaps and alignment seem great.. no issues so far. It was my first time seeing limestone in person and I'm so glad I chose this color. Pictures make it look a lot more blue than in person. Wife not a fan of the looks...
Mapbox frequently messes up underpasses. Any complex routes and it totally loses where you are. In a lot of these cases it's hard to quantify how they'd fix. For roadtrips I'm going to just use a phone mount and google maps.
I have a neocharge as well, but I'm getting a blinking red light from the rivian mobile charger. I used an amazon 10-30 to 14-50 adapter. Not sure whats going on. Dryer works fine when plugged in. I ordered another adapter to see if thats the issue.
Does anyone have a link to the dryer adapter...
Not super surprising considering the huge end of year push they are doing. So many deliveries this month. Hopefully they can address these with better tooling in the future... because service centers will be even more overrun then they already are.
Congrats yall! I have my pickup scheduled Monday 12/26 in ATL.. hopefully it wont be a total cluster. I had an excellent guide, Amanda, who was super knowledgable and communicative so I have high hopes.
What if ~1/2hr before you left - you increased the charge limit to 85% so the battery could heat up a little? Not sure if this would make a difference.
I'm with you, it would look better black. I have a feeling as time goes on we'll be able to get the black airbag cover aftermarket.. can't be too difficult to replace.
That's my config! Except I went for ocean coast.
FYI - for those feeling discouraged - I got the same email with "Processing Estimate" saying I was too far from a service center. I changed the delivery address to the ATL service center and a few weeks later got a surprise config confirm email...
The Intech Sol Horizon looks sort of aerodynamic and has a ton features. Interior looks nice too.

I built a custom 12ft pop top camper I'm eager to tow... but it's shaped like a literal box so I can't imagine it being efficient.
I think there are lots of ways rivian can optimize their processes to reduce overhead, similar to what tesla has done over the years. Guides won't be necessary, and delivery to home is a huge cost... among a lot of other positions that can be reduced once the product is more fleshed out.
But...
omg.. so basically they canned orders outside a specific location. I'm 2 hours away from a service center. I'm honestly a bit livid not knowing this earlier.
The recall is much less concerning than water in rocker panels, window panel coming loose, seals coming apart, rear suspension bolt loose, misrouted wiring. These are valid issues and I don't find their consensus to be overly harsh.
That said, this is to be expected for a first year vehicle...
