  1. Rivian to offer Binding Purchase Agreements (to help obtain EV tax credit)

Assuming you said by 4/15/23 since that’s the filing deadline. You can always do an extension to push back the filing deadline until 10/15/23. You should have your vehicle by then. You’d still have to make an estimated payment for the taxes due by 4/15/23 but would have the additional 6...
  2. R1S Delivery Update Email (June 30, 2022)

Although I’m slightly disappointed, I expected this delay and still hold to something I posted a few weeks ago in a different thread—with inflation where it is and a locked price, my SUV just got 5-10% cheaper which helps make the wait a little more tolerable.
  3. Any R1S Delivery Updates?

To put a positive spin on it, I tell myself the SUV gets 1% cheaper each month due to inflation and the locked-in price.
  4. Oct-Dec 2022 Delivery Windows

Supposedly there may be but it will probably be less than 180kW. We’ll have to see. If not, I may reluctantly switch to the truck.
  5. Oct-Dec 2022 Delivery Windows

I have a R1S with a Oct-Dec delivery window but am in no hurry because I want the largest battery and may even switch to the R1T if there is no larger pack for the R1S. I will be happy as long as I get one before the tax credits are used up. I figure with the way inflation is going and a...
  6. Anyone have info yet on cold weather range impact?

From my experience putting 112,000 miles on my Model S, getting 254 miles of range in the winter is very unlikely even with minimal usage of the heater. Then factor in wind, a significant range hit if you’re driving through snow, and some degradation over the years, and I’d highly recommend...
  7. 2022.11.2 OTA Software Update!

Just curious—does the Tunein app have a login option for Tunein premium?
  8. R1S guide contact?

Do you save the shipping/transportation fee if you pickup at the factory?
  9. Tax Credit

Assuming the federal EV tax credit remains unchanged, do the Amazon deliveries count against the 200,000 that are eligible for the credit? Just curious because is Amazon can claim those credits, there will be less for private buyers.
  10. Electrify America to Create "Customer Oasis" Charging Stations. Some With Pull-Through Chargers ?

I’ve done the turnpike many times in my Model S with no issues—there are plenty of Superchargers. If you drive it often enough, the state offers an annual rate that can save a decent amount of money.
  11. Electrify America to Create "Customer Oasis" Charging Stations. Some With Pull-Through Chargers ?

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that. I-77 is a primary north-south highway for a lot of traffic and is 180+ miles of mountainous terrain with no level 3 charging other than Tesla (who has done.a nice job in WV). I read that the state is supposed to use Dieselgate money to install level...
  12. R1S Guide contacts - please report here

So is that 1836 just for the SUV or were all orders consecutively numbered regardless of whether they were truck or SUV?
  13. My Rivian Blue R1T is Delivered!!

When you get a chance to test it, I’d be very interested in a comparison with Tesla’s autopilot. I have an AP1 Model S and think the Autopilot is the best feature of many great ones in the car. My biggest fear is that the Rivian version of Autopilot won’t be as good as Tesla’s old AP1 .
