My new rollup PTC was just installed yesterday.
To refresh folks who might not have read my previous post, one slat of my Gen 2ās 1.5 PTC got stuck sideways early August. Visited SC right away who said only fix was a full replacement. They confirmed at the time Iād get the rollup version...
I did look at the link and understand itās not instantaneous. Thatās why Iām just āslightlyā annoyed. ;-) My point really is some owners have non functioning PTCs that have been in that state for a while. Iād have thought theyād refrain from marketing until theyāve cleared that backlog⦠but...
Slightly annoying that itās available in the gear shop but my SC is experiencing delays getting me one for my PTC thatās been stuck sideways and unable to open or close for two monthsā¦
SC called this AM to push my September 19th appointment out. Parts for my V2 still not in. I understand they changed suppliers which caused the delay? Said their distribution center would get them this week and then the SC likely next week. Now tentatively scheduled for September 29th.
Reviving this older thread ācause Iām just realizing my Gen 2 should have been showing me cars in other lanes, not just the front one. My Driver+ features work perfectly including hands free and auto lane changes, but I donāt see the cars on either side.

Replacement of my stuck 1.5 tonneau cover with 2.0 is still scheduled for September 19th. Has anyome scheduled for the āmid-Septemberā timeframe been rescheduled to a later date or better yet, has your new tonneau cover been installed on the promised date? Asking to gauge status of the operation.

Oh I know. Iām being optimistic but realistic. Having it removed altogether and going with a manual option will be what I go to if this drags on too long.
Have you considered deleting the PTC altogether and just going with one of the aftermarket options. Frustrating of course given the cost of the vehicle but I do wonder about longevity of even the thin slat version. Who knows how well and long these will work?
I cannot get to log in or out. I just get a message to call Sirius. As mentioned above, there was nothing wrong with my account. So, canāt log out or in, forced to call where they say all is fine. And of course, it being Sirius, they want to sell you another subscription for a radio you donāt...

Iām highly tempted to do that although I may give Rivian a last chance since the replacement cover Iām supposed to get is the narrow slat version. Less failure points on that version IMO. If I do end up deleting it though, Iām intrigued by the Interrobang cover. A bit more tedious to open/close...
