Thatās the part Iām definitely NOT SURE about. From a distance, that trail looks way sketchy. If we get to the base, we can certainly turn around out and go back out the way we came in!
Proposal for Inaugural Idaho Rivian Club meetup!
Fellow Idaho Rivian owners & enthusiasts, I'm trying to gauge interest in hosting our first meetup on the Saturday after Thanksgiving - November 25th. I realize that's short notice, but I would love to start connecting with some of you folks...
Treasure Valley Collision Repair & PDR
I just got off a call with the Boise Service Center. They mentioned they don't have a Rivian certified collision repair center quite yet here in Idaho. However, they have been sending their loaner fleet and referring clients to McDowells Specialty...
@Millertimr @Spaceball1 @Operator What kind of efficiency are you averaging? I'm wondering if the 1.8 mi/kWh I'm seeing after driving around town for 200 miles is because I'm 4 days into ownership and still showing off launch mode to newbies - or if it's a harbinger of difficult road trips to...
$3,300 OBO
This is a BRAND-NEW (ZERO MILES!) complete set of (4) 21" Road wheels, tires, TPMS sensors, & aero covers for either a Rivian R1S or R1T. The tires & TPMS sensors were factory mounted and balanced by Rivian.
Rivian lists this exact set for $3,840...
Joining in the party!! Took delivery of our R1S yesterday and immediately made a 3-mile beeline over to Discount Tire to swap the wheels. @EV Sportline R800 w/ the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. FWIW, our delivery rep at the Boise service center loves these! I REALLY love them!!
After nearly a 2-year wait, today is THE DAY!! After picking up the R1S at the Boise service center, made a beeline for Discount Tire to swap out the wheels & tires to the EV Sportline R800 with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Then headed home to test the charging and then to a bluff outside of...
Interesting!! My data was from tirerack.com. I would hope Falken's own website would be more accurate, but I would think only 1 or 2 fields would have minor discrepancies. Nearly every spec item is slightly different than tirerack! weird! Thanks for the heads-up on the width & offset...
"Cause they say it on the side" is hilarious considering the 285/65 are SLIIIIGHTLY bigger. ...and tread depth is indicated to be the same.
Your other justifications make a lot of sense if it really means the sidewall has more flex on the 35" D rated.
It's also interesting one is made in...
Looks SO GOOD! Out of curiosity, why did you opt for the 35X11.5R20LT instead of the LT285/65R20? (almost identical diameter, but "D" vs. "E" rated respectively)
My conversation with Griffin a few weeks ago indicated staffing at the Boise SC was going to be the main bottleneck in getting deliveries out to customers. The factory is sending them faster than the SC can get them QCād, prepped, and delivered to customers!
That's super helpful and might be the route I end up going. You're using a non-Rivian EVSE? I'm assuming the Rivian wall charger lets me adjust the charging rate into the battery? i.e. keep it at 30-40 amps for 70/80% daily SOC, & bump it up to 48 amps to get to 100% SOC prior to a road trip...
