  1. Camp Speaker Love-Hate Relationship

Yeah an open source Bluetooth speaker would be awesome.
  2. Camp Speaker Love-Hate Relationship

Yeah it's pretty terrible except on the rare occasions when it works. My guess is that they designed the firmware from scratch, found a bunch of bugs, then realized that the software developers working on it had more important things to do.
  3. New York Sold: FS: Updated Lectron Vortex NACS to CCS Adapter

Got a road trip coming up? Skip the line for a Supercharger adapter. This just arrived today and my Rivian adapter is on the way, so I don't need it before my next trip. New in box, never used. $220 and buyer pays shipping. If you need it quickly I can ship overnight or two day.
  4. Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

I just got the address verification email. VIN is 34XX, and it was delivered April 2022.
  5. Lectron vortex adapter (level 3 supercharger to CCS)

I spoke too soon. The notification was for a label being generated. It has not been picked up by USPS yet.
  6. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

Yeah thanks to everyone who recommended turning this off. Brake assist, un-lubed guide pins, and Northeast road salt is a bad combo.
  7. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

How many miles were on your vehicle at the time?
  8. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

You're right, I misunderstood. At the end of the day there is either a design defect or a poor choice not to apply grease to the caliper in my case. Neither of those is my fault as the customer. No sane company is going to make all customers throw away a good brake pad every time they need...
  9. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

I would agree if the pads had worn evenly. It's not regular wear in this case.
  10. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

Yes, I'm paying for labor and pads on a vehicle that mostly stops without the aid of brakes after 35k miles.
  11. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

What was the reason they cited for new rotors in your case?
  12. Seized rear calipers - Rivian stuck me with the bill

I have a early VIN 2022 R1T Launch Edition with about 35,000 miles on it. After noticing some squeaking that sounded like the brake pad wear indicator, I had a mobile service technician pay me a visit. He removed the rear wheel and confirmed that the inner brake pad had less than 2mm left on...
  13. Resolved (my) excessive wind noise 2023 R1T (cause: corner window plastic trim)

Have you tried requesting a mobile service visit to address the wind noise? I was told repeatedly by the service center that they couldn't help. But the mobile tech drove with me, agreed that there was an issue, and my repair is scheduled for tomorrow. It is the glass and trim replacement that...
  14. Rivian cuts another 1% of workforce in new layoff (April 17, 2024)

I was an April 2022 delivery, and my guide was very necessary given all of the chaos at the time. It is a good sign that they've ironed out the sales process so that the hand holding and internal prodding is no longer necessary. Of course it's sad that they couldn't be given other roles at...
  15. Ski Resort L2 Charger etiquette

I have only once in 3 seasons of snowboarding charged my R1T to 100% at a resort, and that was after the lifts closed. So I have never moved it out of a charging spot. Big battery on 4 - 9 kW L2 is usually not doing a big charge. I agree that there is pretty poor etiquette on display. A PHEV...
