  2. Why did Rivian use the mirror camera when they could have just used the cameras on the fenders for the blind spot camera?

    I think those are pointed at the wheels and have rather narrow FoV. If you go to your camera app and tap on the car icon on the left hand side, it will switch to either the front or rear views from those cameras.
