You can always find cases cases on both sides. One could point out that you would have been better off selling to buy TSLA 6 years ago.
I’m not saying it’s wrong to hold. But it’s worth considering that *not selling* is an investment decision, and it’s not without risk.
People do get laid off...
I get compensated in stock. Even if you believe in your company, is it really wise to tie so much of your financial well-being to a single company? If they fail, you don’t only lose your job, but your portfolio. It’s probably wise for most employees to sell at least a portion of their stock...
They're usually only on the driver side. I don't think it's that odd, per say.
Nobody has their truck, so nobody can answer your question. We can just guess. Just like you. I doubt there's a good way to remove it and still have a clean finish. Not to mention all the floor mats you find will...
I'd try Husky. I'll never buy another Weathertech product though. I bought their "All-Weather Floor Mats" (not the "floor liner" that seems to be more popular) for my Focus ST. I liked them at first, but they wore through in about a year (and I really don't drive that much. ~10k miles a year)...
It's not likely specifically the knee airbags. Lots of vehicles have those, and probably every single one has a glove box.
I do wish there was a glove box. I like to keep extra napkins in there. And gloves. But I'll get over it.
The other tricky bit it's that the Rivian is way more aerodynamic than a normal 1/2 ton. So it uses less energy when driving without a trailer. So adding the drag of a trailer to a F150 is comparatively less impactful (the drag was bad to begin with) than adding the same amount of trailer drag...
The manual transmission analogy is not a great one. In sixth gear on with a manual transmission on a highway, if you take your foot off the accelerator you do not generally get much engine braking (it depends on the specific engine and how they've tuned the ECU, but in general there's not enough...
Coasting is not regen. "Regen" is short for regenerative braking. You can accelerate, you can decelerate (brake - regen or not), and you can coast (not explicitly using the vehicle to add or remove any momentum). With automatic regen / one pedal driving, can you straddle an accelerator position...
Which isn't available when towing. (Or is "partially available", whatever that means).
I think my point simply remains "why not offer the more flexible system"? Give two good options to use regen, instead of just one.
If the only way to regen is with the accelerator, I just hope they make it really easy to toggle quickly between coast and regen modes. Heavy regen is great in the city, but not on a highway. Not being able to shift your foot for hours on end is NOT comfortable.
I drive an e-tron, which has a very similar system to the Taycan, and I wanna throw in my vote for "I wish Rivian had the same system". As has already been said: yes, I agree that any automaker should *allow* heavy regen on the accelerator as an option, but they should also allow for zero with...
The Rivian took more damage than you all seem to think, it's just hidden.
Look at the buckling at the back half of the fender above the wheel well. And look at the plastic trim at the bottom of the door interfering with the fender. There's is likely major frame damage here. It's just not...
