  1. Tons of Amazon vans at factory. Drone view

Correct. I was down there last week for my power bed cover and they said the white ones were going into the mobile service fleet. Good guess too about the tax angle for Amazon deliveries.
  2. Aftermarket wheels efficiency

I wanted the mud tires and 20s too, but bought a Red Canyon with 21s from the shop instead. After 37000 on mine, I have to say, the 21s with aero still strike me, and others, as very good looking. I replaced the tires at 31,000. Logged efficiency over the last 18,367 is 2.3 mostly on low...
  3. Updated powered tonneau cover installed. Less noisy and operates more smoothly (video)

With a VIN number in the 7800s, I was called in to the Normal factory December 15th for the newly designed bed cover. I was there over six hours but I got a very complete guided factory tour while I waited, plus free coffee and doughnuts. I was told that they are currently concentrating 90 per...
  4. Efficiency Vs. Temperature: Data Update, Conserve Only Helps in Warm Temps.

I safely got 31,500 with my 21s and two tire rotations, running mostly Conserve Low. Now at 37,000 am trying All Purposɛ as routine mode at the suggestion of the Minneapolis SC. It might be easier on the suspension components and or the tire wear. Efficiency drops by 20 percent but electricity...
  5. Odometer?

    Thanks for the lecture
  6. Expensive maintenance

You are not lying....I'm now on my second bottle. To make matters worse, I just bought an extra set of wipers for $67 at the service center. I think they are so expensive because they have a mind of their own, and sweep almost the entire front glass better than any of my other vehicles.
  7. Conspiracy to sink Rivian? Wall Street Journal article

The comments were equally uninformative. My favorites were those deciding how other people would like to spend how much of their own money. Another that I have seen before is to suggest that Rivian lower their price by 20K for a vehicle that they are currently under water on. Genius idea...
  8. PSA : print this sign before using spare tire / tire rotation by tire shop

Too late, I already scratched the shit out of my rim. Punctured a sidewall in a cornfield while hunting deer. Got it changed out all by myself at age 75. It took 45 minutes using the factory screw jack. It was pitch dark and five degrees Farenheit. Great adventure! Wrap a flat strap around...
  9. Winch holder on hitch

I don't think 110 powered winches are powerful enough for moderate winching. I use 5000 to 6000 pound ATV winches on custom front hitch mount or rear. Ditch the cradle idea as you are just adding weight. ATV winches with synthetic rope are light weight. You can fabricate and weld up a light...
  10. Projected range on 21" wheels @100% in Conserve Mode?

My T also shows 347 at full charge...btw, replacing tires at 31,000 next week. Couldn't help myself.
  11. How Much it Cost to Drive a Rivian 3,000 Miles Compared to a Midsize Gas Pickup Truck Cents Per Mile

My midsize is a 2013 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x, goid running truck with 265,000 uneventful miles. 3000 miles divided by 16.6 miles per gallon times 3.69 dollars per gallon yields 666.87 cost for gas, winter and summer. Actual observed performance. My R1t running 21s mostly using conserve,low...
  12. Frustration (and a warning to others)...

Next week he Minneapolis SC is taking a look at my passenger side headlamp which I believe suffered a spontaneous full thickness fracture with no impact of rocks or birds. I was just driving in the right lane at 65 mph and heard it pop. I'm an optometrist an have some idea of stress fractures...
  13. Two semi loads of Cybertrucks in Gallup, NM

A local quote for PPF clear on my R1t was 8000. The film is not that protective anyway, so am going bare and suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. It's a good running truck, now at 30,000 miles.
  14. All Purpose Mode surprise

I would describe sport mode as: indescribable.
  15. AC Wont Blow Cold After DC Fast Charging

My R1T came from the factory where the warmer the temperature outside, the more the vehicle blew warm air. It was towed to the Chicago Center and the Service Director called to say the truck requires 738 grams of fluid and they could only drain 708 frm mine before they flushed it and filled to...
  16. 21s off roading in Moab?

Your truck will do fine, but your sidewalls are unprotected. I lost a tire whose sidewall was punctured by a sharp cut cornstalk. Onboard air was not of much use to a tire with a one and a half inch full thickness slash. I had a spare wheel and changed it out in the dark with the OEM system at...
  17. Interesting Find While Installing New Mats

Just a somewhat related reminder about the all weather mats.....They fit a lot better if you first take out the OEM mats. Don't ask how many months it took me to figure that out.
