  2. Finally RAN Grayling is ONLINE!

I've charged here 9 or 10 times and have had pretty good luck. Only had to change to a different tower once and saw the 150kW unit next to me was not operational another time. I'll be pulling a car trailer down/back to SE MI in early spring and had already figured I would just park...
  3. Finally RAN Grayling is ONLINE!

I can't imagine what the holdup is after so long. Now I'm just hoping they get it online by spring. So much for using the RAN for free charging during my free Membership period...
  4. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

I have to agree with previous posters that a non-cutout design would be better. Plain diamond plate type surface for me please!
  5. Anyone install Nokian 22" Winter Tires on Rivian R1S ?

I fully understand the availability issue. I waited too long to look for snow tires since I was hoping for Rivian to offer the 20" wheels without the AT tires for my winter setup. When I took delivery in March, I was hoping for several wheel options by Fall - but there are not many options for...
  6. Finally RAN Grayling is ONLINE!

I spoke to Service in Plymouth, MI this week and asked about that - again. She said there are many folks in the Plymouth SC that are very eager to use it as soon as it opens but they have no knowledge (or at least none to share) about the status of getting it operational. So, I guess you could...
  7. Z06 C8 lust

Right now, my C8 Z51 shares garage space with my GT-350 (1966). This is the 4th Corvette the Shelby has shared garage space with - waiting for number 5. Hopefully by the end of the year the Z51 will be replaced by a Z06 - I'm #9 on my dealer's list (MSRP) and they have been getting about 1...
  8. Anyone install Nokian 22" Winter Tires on Rivian R1S ?

We've had just one storm (12-30" in the 3-county area) since I had the R5s installed but they are proving to be vastly better than the 22" road tires - which was no surprise. I drove in snow a few times with the OEM 22s and found them to be very poor on hard pack snow/slush and ice that was...
  9. Anyone install Nokian 22" Winter Tires on Rivian R1S ?

I have the 22" R5 Hakkas installed on my R1T's OEM wheels. So far am very happy with them. I'm curious why you would go with the studded Hakkas in Seattle. It's my understanding that your roads are mostly wet rather than hard packed snow/ice in the winter. The R5 or LT3 may work better in...
  10. Towing + Efficiency: Please post your experience!

Yes - the 635 mile range bug has been seen by a few folks - I posted the following thread in May at the end of a towing trip: My R1T has the best towing range of any EV on the planet! | Rivian Forums - R1T R1S R2 Owners, News, Discussions, RIVN Stock I've not towed nor seen any weird range...
  11. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

take the time to get them right - I'm happy to wait a bit longer for a better end result.
  12. Apprehensively considering trip from Milwaukee to Littleton CO. for Christmas: advice please

Like the others have said it is very doable as long as you plan your route ahead and know what to expect. I've plotted out the charging options for a trip from northern MI to Littleton several times in anticipation of a road trip there this past Thanksgiving, but my better half vetoed the...
  13. car wash vs hand wash / cost benefit analysis question

I use a power washer with foam cannon and then blow dry. Under 30 minutes every time. Prep and cleanup take up half of that time! Getting PPF installed on the front end and full ceramic coating afterwards this week which will make it easier to keep clean - especially in winter.
  14. Resuming charging on ChargePoint

Sounds rather anti-social to stay plugged in for a week at a public charging station, or is this an airport parking option of which I am not aware?
  15. DC Fast Charging vs. Charging to 100%

I asked Rivian about this a few months ago for a 240 mile trip I take often. They recommended I charge to 100% at home prior to departure.
  16. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

Ok - so I swore to myself that I would wait until they were shipping, and I saw some customer reviews, but I can't. I ordered a set so it's easier for my wife to get in and out. Can I tell her it's a Christmas present???
  17. Snow Mode?

8200 miles. I didn't measure tread depth when they were new, so I don't know how far down they are now, but the fronts are visibly worn more than the rears. I did a lot of driving in Conserve which probably is wearing the fronts more. Driving on packed snow/slush and snow over ice they had...
  18. Snow Mode?

Not my Z51 - I can't even drive it if temps drop below 40 degrees! :)
