Had the 7500 service + tire rotation scheduled for the Bellevue service center - was told it was busy, 2 week turnaround, will be given a rental. I declined and asked for anywhere else with availability where I can wait for the service to be completed.
Rescheduled to the new Seattle location...
yup, Rivian Authorized Repair Centers cost a bomb. At least in my invoice, they actually show what the markup is and what the actual service fees are.
$1800 cost + $1000 markup - insurance paid for it all, thankfully.
hmm, the product link has changed.

I've got the same problem on the driver's side. i don't think it's fixable short of replacing the hood latch system and completely re-aligning the hood. Initially reported but then decided, i can live with it.
it happens when i drive above 80-85 mph so i figure this is a subconscious way to...
where are the rear jack points on the megawatt sliders? got a photo? I can't tell :) must be blind
never mind, i saw a photo from the thread, checking my sliders :)
I don't have auto mode turned on, ever.
However, sometimes during the pre-conditioning schedule, the car turns on AUTO all by itself. I have no idea why. Once AUTO comes on, the vents open/close by themselves too.
I sent off an email to Rivian customer service about this and they called me back to get more details.
One very unusual distinction they were asking about was if I set my pre-conditioning schedule from the Phone or directly from the Car UI.

0 fees for CP or AA does not mean 0 financial cost. Unless you have some insider perspective on the inner workings of Rivian's OS, you cannot trivialize the scope and work effort to add third-party software.
If you are equating CP or AA implementation to be similar to screen-casting in this...
Rivian's software isn't mature enough (probably never will) but they are improving much faster than Tesla back in the day.
Every time you add another major UI like AA or CP, it exponentially increases the testing cycle, it's not just that CP works but rather running function A in CP doesn't...
I must be missing something. You make it sound like YT will auto-launch and play random videos when you plug in to charge.... that would be seriously creepy and annoying at the same time.
You don't have to use the app, that's the same as disabled, no?
Rivian should not integrate CarPlay or Android Auto or Tesla FSD or anything else that places maximum dependency + risk on third party software.
Integrating Cast is a compromise solution that pretty much works for everyone. For Apple users, what's the difference between pressing AirPlay vs...
