I think a lot of people don’t watch the regular news especially for these types of reasons. They show story’s for revenue. Also, people in the mid-west are not as adopted to EVs. So story’s against EVs are more popularized. Here in the west fewer people care about the story’s of “EV...

  4. Snow socks on ice -- impressive performance

I am not worried about it. But I am not sure. I only wear them when chains are required in town. And at that point no one is really caring to pull people over for no chains. If you have socks. I know that doesn’t answer but I know they work.
  5. Snow socks on ice -- impressive performance

After buying my rivian I bought socks last year, but didn’t need to use them. I rarely use extra traction as rivian does well. I wasn’t chancing the ice this morning. It was 25 degrees and raining and I live on a hill. I was very impressed on the performance. No slipping climbing a hill of pure...

Okay, we know we love our Rivians but something that used to get attention on every review but hardly mentioned now is the flashlight. I mean really, how awesome is it for you? We just went from Portland to Boise and back on Friday and Saturday. We had 5 chargers during the trip we were usually the only ones there except for 2 stations that had only one other vehicle. Partly I think because there are now 3 more stations on this route that didn’t exist 5 months ago...

  14. A moment to appreciate... the Frunk

Okay, I have had my R1T for 18 months. I have learned to back into parking to utilize the trunk. Also, I ask people, especially truck guys, where do you put stuff in a truck when you buy things? The bed or back seat right? With rivian you can have your cake and eat it too. You get truck features...
  15. A moment to appreciate... the Frunk

I have fit 5 Costco pizzas in one stack but the question would really be can they fit side by side to make 10? the nice thing about putting hot food in the front trunk is that it doesn’t smell the cab. But when you get to your destination, open the trunk from the screen and you get a hit of the...

  18. Leave Motion Cam always on? -- eats up battery / storage capacity?

Motion cam eats a little battery (2%ish per day) but if you’re charging regularly it doesn’t matter much. Storage is also minimal. I have 2TB for my drive cam (not just motion) and I have way more than enough storage.
