When you plug it in do you just slip it in without holding down the release button? I’ve been told not to do this. (Hot plugging) I was told by electrician, and also said in chargers manual not to do this as could damage charger or car. supposed to hold the release button until fully plugged...

As a millwright I seen many rigging mishaps. don’t go undersize. Use the proper size needed. I beg you. Don’t be that guy just… don’t….. Maybe a little pricey now. But better than a hole in the head or costing a bystander a limb, or damage to either vehicle.
