Well that’s a bit of a bummer. I’ve got two referrals pending about a month apart, I thought I’d have 12 months of charging, I guess it will be 7 months.
Mine got replaced last month. The latch wouldn’t “catch” and the tailgate would drop. After playing with the tailgate button it would seemingly work. I lent it to a neighbor to run to the lumber yard and they ended up spilling a load of plywood all over the road when the tailgate dropped during...
275/60r20 is a 33” OD tire, same as the 275/55r21 and 275/50r22. Pick any of the options that aren’t 275/65r20 (34” OD tire) and it will have the right settings.
@SeaGeo I completely agree on the EG4! Since the R1 can only output 1500W continuous, having an AC-DC converter designed for up to 5000W is overkill, and at $500 it seems unnecessary. I tried a quick search for a charger closer to 1500W and just didn’t find quite the right unit —what did you go...
Yes! The rectifier/AC-DC “chargeverter” (EG4 model) seems to be the most straightforward plug and play route. The appeal of the DC-DC charger is the high voltage cables to the current inverter supply pack voltage (IIRC 216-4v nominal) and are fused at 15A, so one could pull a substantial load...
I’ve been wondering about taking DC power off the leads for the on-board inverter and installing a DC to DC charger, in turn using that DC power to supply something like the Anker Solix F3800. The F3800 allows DC input while supplying 240v split-phase up to 6000W, plenty for critical home loads...
Not at all. Land Rover has run air suspensions on their vehicles since the early 1990s (starting with Range Rover Classic, I think in 1993). They’ve had a hydraulic interlink since at least 2005, as that was included in the air suspension design on the LR3.
I have the previous gen in an LT. My only complaint is they are heavy, I’m around 2.0mi/kWh at 65mph (LT275/55r20). They are pretty quiet for an AT and handle well.
At one point a year ago there were more Rivians in Central Oregon than in the Portland Metro. It might still be true. Hopefully there will be an SC soon.
The 116XL version of the 275/60R20 is not 3PMSF rated. The 115T version is, however. The 116XL is an OEM tire, so BFG does not have any plans to 3PMSF rate this tire.
Any idea how much this model weighs? I cannot find that specification on the Goodyear website.
edit: 42lbs per tire rack https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Specifications.pdf?make=Goodyear&model=Wrangler+Territory+AT
These are going high on my list for replacements. My Yokohama Geolandars are...
I have the previous version of this in LT275/60r20. My efficiency is about the same as the OEM Pirelli Scorpion P275/65R20, about 2.0mi/kWh at 65mph (270mi range). When I looked at these a few weeks back I observed no weight reduction between the tire models, beware they are HEAVY, 10 lbs a...
Check with who you bought it from. I received two and A2Z offered me (and everyone else receiving two) the ability to resell it with warranty for $100 USD. If your seller didn’t pay A2Z then you don’t have a warranty with them.
I did a trade in estimate in July when my 2023 R1T quad-large had 18,000 miles —$57,820.
Last week I did another estimate now that I have 21,000 miles. Today’s trade value was $57,920, and that doesn’t include the $3500 credit.
At this rate they’ll pay me to take an upgrade in a few years!
that’s true, but Rivian was letting people add friends and family discounts up until the moment of delivery which was a bigger discount and served the same purpose.
