    This should be reassuring for anyone who was worried that Rivian wouldn't meet their Sept delivery date. They are definitely going to have cars in customers' driveways before they IPO.

    I think it would be very smart to put in a preorder now before Rivian starts getting tons of press. You may actually be close to the "front of the line" (depending on your location and configuration) after Rivian launches and the attention drives (pun intended) more people to reserve en masse.

    It sounds to me that everyone with delivery for this year has been contacted. There hasn't been a delivery date I've heard past "End of November" for anyone. So maybe after that people with 2022 deliveries will start hearing from people.

    I agree with pretty much everyone else here, but want to say just say that the single thing that would drive me crazy would be a bad, slow, or stuttery infotainment experience. I have a 2016 4Runner right now and the infotainment experience is just... so bad that it's a driving (pun intended)...

    I'm just gonna say it... XM is trashy and it should die and no lux car should have it as a persistent option and it doesn't make sense to have the hardware to receive it and I hate XM and I'm happy I don't ever have to see it in my upcoming truck.
