  1. Issues with cargo bars upon installation [updated: RESOLVED]

I had the same issue with my crossbars and had the mobile service come to my house to fix. I watched the service tech work on them for 30mins and quickly realized I could have fixed them myself with just a little patience. You can remove the plastic cover that's over the actual latching...
  2. Roof Top Camping - Rivian Lights/Noises…

I actually had to return it because it was damaged. I’m currently waiting on my refund, which has been a trial dealing with Thule. In the mean time, I found a Yakima Skyrise (same one being sold by Rivian just without the logo) on a local resale site for a fraction of the cost. We used it for...
  3. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

You can swipe the art to the right and it will disappear from the main screen. Very useful at night.
  4. Disabling Wireless Charging Pad - Photos & Observations

I guess I’m missing why everyone is having such an issue with the charge pad. My phone charges every time I put it on the pad and it never slides. I’m not doing any aggressive driving, but what am I missing?
  5. 350KW Charging that has Worked Everytime vs. Shell Recharge 50kw (60% success rate with Shell)

Glad itā€˜s working for you- right now. $.065/kWh is pretty good! We don’t have off-peak rates where I live, but I still only pay about $.09/kWh…and I thought that was good!
  6. 350KW Charging that has Worked Everytime vs. Shell Recharge 50kw (60% success rate with Shell)

Too many variables to give a straight answer. Are we talking about L2 or L3? What’s the OAT? Are we both starting at 0% and plugged into the same charger? My original point was that calling the ā€œmiles per hourā€œ meaningless is a little short-sighted. When I talk to new EV or non-EV drivers...
  7. 350KW Charging that has Worked Everytime vs. Shell Recharge 50kw (60% success rate with Shell)

I wouldn’t necessarily call it meaningless. There are individuals from each end of the spectrum and everywhere in between, so stating miles per hour of charge is a good starting point. If individuals want or need specific kWh, then they can either ask or do a rough conversion.
  8. Roof Top Camping - Rivian Lights/Noises…

I've ordered the Thule Tepui Ruggedized Kukenam and hopefully receive it soon and I'm waiting on the iKamper X-Cover 2.0 mini that should be available in May. I'm trying out an Off Grid Trailer this weekend with a RTT, so I'll be curious to see how many different settings I have to turn off or...
  9. Two pairs of crossbars, two different styles of key.

Iā€˜ve ordered two sets and only had the chance to try out one set so far. One side wouldn’t lock in place even after multiple ā€œforcefulā€ tries. I submitted a ticket and mobile service is coming to my house this week to adjust or replace. Fortunately I’ll have a chance to test out the second...
  10. Rivian off-road struggling?

Maybe it's just me but I find these types of videos something my young kid would watch and think it's the end all, be all, without knowing anything else or asking questions. Within the first 3+ minutes, they're taking the steps off the Nissan and calling it a "rivet, bolt, allen-key wrenches...
  11. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

I ended up buying a set of Wadeo levelers after watching my buddy with an Airstream make it seam so easy. I’m going to try them out this weekend with an Off Grid Trailer.
  12. Regenerative Braking Feedback

Same here. I'll admit that slow, short drives (driving through the neighborhood) can be a little jerky at first, especially after driving one of my ICE vehicles. However it's a quick learning curve and once you figure out the amount of pressure, or lack of, on the accelerator pedal to apply-...
  13. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

Doesn’t appear to be the Yakima/Rivian tent. No Rivian logo. I’m curious which one this is and what adjustments had to be made?
  14. Charging with Tesla WC gen 3

I bought the Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter and used it once with my existing Tesla HPWC. I typically get between 25-30 miles/hr on my Model X, but using the adapter and my R1T, I was only getting about 15 miles/hr. It was purely a test to make sure the adapter actually worked before I stored...
  15. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

Thanks for the pics! Any issues with the Thule mounts on the Rivian bars? Unfortunately my crossbars aren’t locking into place and so I’m waiting on mobile service to adjust them, but Iā€˜m ready to order a RTT soon! Is this the one you ordered? Thule Tent
  16. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

That sucks. I kind of thought that might be the case, and that’s why Iā€˜ve been ready to pull the trigger!
  17. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

You’ll have to let us know when you get it and how it fits. This appears to be one of the few, if not the only one, that will fit the Rivian crossbars without special modification. I’ve almost placed an order for this one and/or the X-Cover 2.0 several times over the last couple of days, but I...
  18. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

Based on information that I have gathered- the Rivian/Yakima crossbars are about an inch wider than most on the market. This prevents the normal RTT setup, but I've seen several on Instagram that are using different types of RTTs. I don't know if they have manufactured their own mounting...
  19. R1T Post Delivery Accessories and Review

That’s weird that there was no tracking number sent to you. I’m still waiting on my accessories as well, but in the mean time I ordered another set of crossbars this past weekend and they are scheduled for delivery tomorrow per the email from Rivian. ?ā€ā™‚ļø
