Rivian treats their customers like dirt up here.
-Absolutely terrible communication (Manager at my SC keeps pleading with HQ to improve things, take the concerns of customers more seriously)
-Delay after delay for most of the country
-No Gear Shop access
-Insane pricing for vehicles
They are...
At these prices I'd rather get a fully loaded Macan EV Turbo for the same price as a DM Max R1S.
Up here in Canuckville both are $155K fully specced. Tri-motor is $165K, Quad-Motor is going to be $180K? ROFL. No thank you.
Its obvious Canada is just a complete afterthought to Rivian after dealing with them for the past 4-5 years.
-Delay after delay (I STILL haven't gotten my manual tonneau cover after taking delivery 4 months ago while they have them in stock at my local SC).
- insane pricing
- terrible/zero...
Pricing is just insane now. I'd rather get a fully loaded Macan Turbo EV for the same price as a Dual Max R1S to be honest even though the R1 is a 7-seater. $155K Fully Loaded for the DM, $165K for the TM, what's the QM going to be $180K? jesus.
Kyle just said on the batteries included podcast that the next batch of adapters is delayed and automakers don't know when they will get the next shipment from his "trusted source". Don't know if this affects Rivian or not.
What Tesla is doing is stupid, but maybe, "I need the money" guy, you shouldn't have bought a $100K+ vehicle in the first place if you were on such shaky financial ground.
The was an interview done with a Tesla battery engineer/Lithium expert a while back.
Summary was IIRC:
-Daily charging is fine (Best practice is 20% charging ie 50-70%, 40-60%)
-Avoid frequent deep charges 20-80% avoid depleting the battery to a low percentage during the week and only charging...
