Nah. I’ve got a gerber file that can be sent for PCB fabrication but it won’t do more than 24w safely. I might be able to get a more powerful version in a month or so. Am working on some powered accessories for the dock but right now using those lower power PCBs with a built in 2a fuse.
You don’t even need to splice into the wire if you can create a PCB to mimic the camp speaker and then just tap the 12v from the pin. I’m working on something that does just I’m downstepping to 5v/3a usb-c PD
There are no physical fuses in the passenger areas of the gen2 afaik. You’ll need to tap into a 12v wire - I know you can do so from the center console pogo pins but I’m not sure how many watts can be safely drawn. At least 36w but not sure how high it can go. You can also get 12v from the...
remove the trim and look at the bolts. If there’s a bolt to lock into you could probably 3d print a really solid mount out of a Nylon x CF filament. Would just need to use some modeling clay to measure exactly how the mount would exit the bolt and come over the trim and then replicate that in...
Home assistant has a HACS plugin for Rivian that can read lock state. It's all web based so if you are building a smart home/web triggered thing that would likely be your best bet. On the other hand, if it needs to be a low voltage trigger I might look into a 433mhz wireless contact sensor in...
Looking for a broken camp speaker that is still recognized by the car as a camp speaker. Im working on a project and want to harvest and test the pogo pin contacts in particular.
I wish they would make a larger portable power bank that could slot in where the camp speaker/drawer goes. I think the 12v pogo pins can pull about 24 watts. Since they haven’t made it I’m exploring building my own using a custom PCB to mimic the camp speaker and draw out the 12v / 2a power and...
I’m guessing a decent amount of ownership correlates to income/net worth and lifestyle (kids, outdoors, etc). Speaking from my personal experience with fellow R1S owners the formula is “2+”: 2+ cars, 2+ kids living at home, 2+ dogs, $2+M net worth. Wonder if that formula holds true for the...
I have a very similar setup but I use the metal under trim mount sold by EV sport line (https://evsportline.com/collections/rivian-r1s-interior-accessories/products/rivian-r1t-r1s-dashboard-magsafe-phone-mount). There’s zero rattle compared to a lot of the 3d printed clamp and flex mounts and...
bumping this thread. Anyone find a way to control Rivian native Apple Music with voice commands? It seems to me like the right solution would be if the Rivian app could interact with the infotainment system - then Apple intelligence/Siri could pass the intent to the Rivian app which would then...
I don’t have the attention to detail to install these myself. Anyone know of someone in the Austin, TX area who could install vinyl chrome deletes at a reasonable rate if I buy the materials?
afaik Atmos over Bluetooth is only supported by some headphones. Atmos requires specific integrated hardware/software on the amplifier that tightly controlled/regulated by Dolby. I don’t think Dolby has licensed or plans to license the tech used for Bluetooth decoding for any Bluetooth...
More of a rock guy? This was the other song that was under consideration - some classic Cajun swamp metal. Happy to remix it! And happy Halloween!!
p.s. I’ve found gen2 standard audio does a much better job with the dynamic range (or lack thereof) of rap and EDM vs rock/metal and blues...
