Those online surveys never translate to sales and historically purple doesn't move well. Unfortunately that's also true of many of the colors enthusiasts appreciate (Compass Yellow anyone?) and why the entire industry ends up with the glorious shades of gray from the German automotive rainbow. 🤣
It’s that 6” that’s the issue. We frequently need all the rear space in the S with the second row seats up. Plus the odd occasion to use all three rows. My original plan was to replace my wife’s Lexus RX with the R2 but we found a great deal on an S a few months ago and she loves it. We aren’t...
Probably little to no direct impact. They are all still low volume vehicles and R2 is simply too small for many R1 owners. Personally I'm on the fence as to whether I can live with the huge hit in storage & usefulness if I trade my R1T for an R2, but the latest tech would be nice. However there...
simply personal preference for folks. some think a lighter interior is cooler but if your vehicle, any vehicle, is sitting out in the heat all day it's an oven regardless of interior color, paint color, or glass roof.
I also prefer a darker interior and would not own a white-ish/cream interior.
Yeah, if the real issue isn't budget then the only "limitation" is for the 1-2% of actual buyers who might buy a purple vehicle. Otherwise it's getting the LE package "free" and remaining patient if you want forest green or the light interior.
One thing we know from the R1 launch combined with process mentioned in the June 9th announcment...literally no one can tell us when we might get to order regardless of reservation date or current ownership. If you have a reservation there is always hope! Even with a first minute reservation and...
All you have to do is watch the idiots on bringatrailer and cars&bids pay ridiculous sums for average vehicles. 🤣 There’s a chance to make “some” money on a new, much hyped vehicle available only to a few folks who have been in line for two years. Will it be worth the effort? 🤷🏻‍♂️. But it...
That frunk pic reminds me I need to take a measuring tape to my test drive along with dimensions of key things I put in the R1 frunks. Potentially living with the dramatic reduction in storage vs R1T is gonna be a key issue for me in the decision to downsize.
I'm not putting much into the "near a service center" comment. This was the same story with the R1 launch yet somehow I took delivery in Alabama in June 2022. Four years later I own two and Rivian still doesn't know Alabama exists, so I am hopeful history repeats itself. 🤞 🤣
Frankly I am most...
yeah...apparently managing calendar and setting reminders are somehow two different functions. Maybe I can tell it to set a meeting with myself to remind myself to do something 🤣
pausing the music and saying "hey siri, message..." has always worked well for me. 🤷‍♂️ And since Rivian Assistant 1.0 doesn't support group messages I will still be using Siri A LOT. What I'm looking forward to is reading the incoming ones for me.
Yep, R1S length & height are effectively the same as Pilot/Highlander, with the Rivian a bit wider. carsized.com is a fun site to play with size comparisons.
I get it. They are bigger than cars a full class smaller. I just find the reactions amusing when they are simply midsize in overall...
I agree. Since 2022 I've driven several Rivians with 22s and personally I would never make that choice. There is no comparison in comfort between the 22s and the 20s on my T or the 21s on my wife's S.
The never-ending "R1 is HUGE" complaints always crack me up. I assume these folks generally drive in old cities with terrible parking as Rivians aren't even "full-size". Honda Pilot/Toyota Highland/et al are similarly sized as R1S and the latest Tacoma/Frontier are basically R1T size. The actual...
