Isn’t it entirely made out of aluminum?, what is there to rust besides breaks, driveshaft? Plus it’s watertight in all right places: interior, electronics, battery… I don’t really see anything anyone can do to improve here…

I see, is there a diagram for re-wiring the connector I can reference? Also, can I wire it to “ignition” source? Would powering it off be ok? I understand official obd connection is always on.

Is there an update on AXM power issue? Would I need to pull pins from connector and hotwire it to the fuse box/OBD port?

What does this additional dongle do exactly? I saw it is an extra $400 and needs extra cable to Comma. From description it sounds like it is only for changing speed via steering wheel, did I get it right? Thanks, I’m just trying to understand all the options.

Sounds like sunny pilot is preferred for Rivians over open pilot, is that right? Now that they made device smaller it looks more appealing to me.

LiFePO4 not the same as LiFeYPO4, there is a difference.

I would be skeptical whenever I see words “self heating” usually that means battery is heated due to it accepting a charge but that kinda defeats the purpose if battery is getting charged in cold weather….

This can be addressed with different chemistry like LiFeYPO4 which works fine down to -45 deg C. Or with dedicated PTC heaters. The only problem is this makes a more expensive battery.

That’s an interesting theory, and it probably would help, however where I live chargers are sheared and for me it is not feasible to leave it plugged in every night.

Single battery, and I plug mine in weekly.

That’s funny, just got same message this morning. My battery was proactively replaced by Rivian just this past October. 11 months life span on a 12v battery is concerning to be honest.
