If this is an issue then either install the Rivian widget on your phone (likely still require period 2FA though) and unlock from widget or buy the key fob for $250 and it works just like any other car
Ehh charging infrastructure in that part of GA is actually perfectly fine. There are super chargers basically every 40-50 miles from Atlanta to Savannah and multiple supercharger locations in the larger towns. There is even a RAN station in nearby Macon.
I would actually say Atlanta east to...
im sure its Locked and no it doesnt work with other doors or without my phone. It’s also described on page 39 of the user manual at least for Gen 2 - functionality is called “press to unlock”
it definitely is. This isn’t my first EV - it’s pretty standard functionality on every EV with PaaK functionality. It works the same as having a FOB in your pocket.
we set our R1S in lock only mode at home so it doesn’t lock/unlock in the garage all day but it still detects proximity and allows...
Do you have your phone settings to allow your Rivian app to run in background and access location?
I just tested mine 5 seconds ago and it worked as I said. Walk up to drivers door with phone in pocket, manually pull handle and all doors unlock. It actually unlocks all when I push the handle in...
No. It still uses proximity sensing and will only open all doors if I have my phone in my pocket. The exact same as having a key fob in your pocket has worked for at least a decade.
Update somehow broke my profiles. Car used to have the ability to tell whether it was me or my wife in the driver seat, now it can’t. Also sets the music to blast at level 15 on start instead of last volume setting and resets the vents every single time I get in. Infuriating.
0% chance these high numbers are accurate at actual highway speeds. My Gen 2 R1S on 22s doesn’t even get 2.4 in 45 degree weather, let alone actual freezing temps.
This is my 3rd winter with an EV now, they consistently lose 25-30% efficiency when temps get below freezing. That’s been true with...
Thanks guys.. will get this checked out by service. But I will say I talked to a neighbor with a Gen 1 R1T who has similar random errors and just watched a review with a Gen 2 R1T and saw similar random ADAS unavailability/malfunction so I truly believe there is something fundamentally wrong...
Hey guys -
New Rivian R1S owner but long time EV owner (have had a Mach-E with Bluecruise as our only family car for over 2 years) here.
Have overall enjoyed the Rivian but after two weeks coming to the conclusion that the ADAS system is at-best unreliable and frankly borderline dangerous...
