Umm, yeah, so the best of the best financial analyst can't predict worth crap either. I remember when the financial analyst said it would declare BK. Then they said TSLA was worth well over a $Trillion when it peaked, where are those great minds now when it's cut in almost half....What's their...
I never took Kyle's videos very serious - A total EV fanatic/apologist, I wouldn't trust his viewpoints, but more importantly his reviews are all over the place, there's no organization. Alex's reviews are much much better structured, informative and genuine.
Agree with Alex regarding the cost...
That's one thing that I really like about Alex, he's very truthful and upfront about his finances unlike many other Youtube "Influencers" who are deliberately vague about it.
Tesla makes money from selling cars. They integrate their charging network and experience as a major selling point. They can recover the network design, installation and maintenance costs from their vehicle prices and whatnot.
The CCS network doesn't have this huge advantage...selling...
The question is easy to answer, in no doubt I would rather have the Tesla connector. Their connector is standard on their vehicles, and their customers are very happy with their charging network. You don't need a bunch of special apps on a phone, you pull in, plug in, sit around for a while then...
The problem is people still are buying non-Tesla EV's and just putting up with the garbage CCS network. Worse is some Youtube EV influencers enjoy running around almost getting stranded. There's a youtube couple with their kids showcase themselves towing a trailer with their Rivian, even though...
It would be great if CCS disappeared. Everything about it is bad.
Sandy Monroe couldn't figure out how to operate the charger on his first try. And somehow little old ladies and non-tech people are all suppose to be using it one day??? LMAO!
The CCS charging network is a joke...it's not ever going to fix itself in it's current form. There's nothing wrong with Tesla stipulating mandates to use its charging network.
Edit: It's massive news because as I stated, CCS is such a joke, if it wasn't so bad the Tesla news would be welcomed...
I would have to agree. Musk seems to be losing it. I'm not sure what the Twitter purchase was for, seems like a huge expense, distraction and disaster all wrapped up into one.
He spouts his politics and when people think Telsa they think Musk. So he's putting off many would be buyers. It will...
Generally buyers want some sort of self justification/pretext when they make a pricey purchase, so slower depreciation fits that narrative - whether if it is correct or not, doesn't matter. Same goes with the other excuses such as less moving parts, longevity, lower operating costs, yada yada yada.
Don't do a lease. Nothing is going to really change in three years to justify the cost of a lease....20 or 30 more miles of range? whoopee....If possible pay in cash. If cash isn't available save up until it is.
These people are saying their road-trip was almost free of charging fees. Of course they had charging issues and had to babysit it and play musical chargers.
If you're spending a half dozen hours waiting around the chargers and having to constantly mess with it but save a whole 50 bucks or...
Take into account an increased resale value
Agree. However i don't think much will change in 3-4 years. Towing with an EV just isn't practical unless it's a something simple like across town.
There's nothing that will beat the simplicity, quickness, convieance and pricing of gasoline/diesel...
Looks it's too small to fit the kids and car seats.
But I'd rather prefer him to tell the family to drive to another city a couple hundred miles away on a cold day and back you'll need them to stop at least twice to charge. Tell them, you'll only be filming them, not offering any advice on what...
Seats comfort is very subjective. My work chair is a pathetic pile of crap on purpose because it doesn't hurt my back vs the Aeron we also have, that are painful for me.
The seats in our Honda are great for me, but not the wife.
