the tax credit extension was for 2023. if you take delivery in 2024 you most likely won't be eligible for the credit. This just keeps getting worse and worse.

Also concerning because with all these delays it doesn't seem like they will be anywhere close to reaching their anticipated production numbers

I would be really interested to know how many new pre-orders they are getting. With all this bad Press and delays I'm betting the pool of new reservations is shrinking fast.

I think it is smart of Rivian to stop making an inoperable cover, However they should just make the shell so that a retrofit would be easy. They know that the new design for the cover is going to be significantly more costly and are trying to save every dollar at this point. This in my opinion...
