I have been in the Technology Consulting business for over 20 years and when and when clients would implement cutting edge software and hardware (Which is pretty much what the Rivian is) itās takes years to get them to interact seamlessly and get the bugs out. For Rivian not only does it mean...
I agree with you @rl_r1t about Teslaās UI. I had a Model X and when I first got it I was very disappointed it didnāt have CarPlay. But once I started driving the X and using the UI I realized why they went the route they did. But also, you have to remember Tesla has had over 10 years...
Iām not sure how you didnāt notice but I got a notification in my App when the vehicle was close to being charged that there would be a .50 idle fee for every minute there after. Also, Tesla charging stations has been doing it for a few years now. Youād be amazed at how many people would...
It would make sense that itās available for both generations. The only way it would not would be if there was new hardware needed and I would think for the new AI and messaging thatās all just software related.
Thanks for sharing. I was actually contemplating getting the Gravity. But felt it was more like the Model X. Not really an SUV but more of a cross over. And really wanted something that is truly meant for off roading and camping. Couldnāt be happier with my new 2026 R1S Quad.
I have iOS18 and I canāt use Apple Maps to send a location to my Rivian. Rivian has to add the API into its App to make this work. I just sent feedback about this in the App as well.
I send it in the Rivian App. Itās on the main screen click on the car icon at the bottom and then scroll down and thereās a link to āShare Feedbackā. I actually shared the one about adding more standard equalizer settings for Pop, Dance, Etc and that we should be allowed to save custom...
How is this possible. My Garmin Epic Gen 2 has both NFC and bluetooth which is what Apple Wallet Key uses and the Apple Watch. And the Garmin watch connects to my iPhone so all the needed tech appears to be there.
So I had a similar situation. I was trading in my Raptor. But my trade in value was $62,000. I called the salesperson I worked with for the order. He wound up having it taken care of. Made sure I got my trade in value locked it and then was able to put my order on high and within a eeek...
Iām getting my new 2026 in 2 weeks as well. Any the sales rep told me it will work with the adapter and that they are adding NACS connectors to there RAN chargers already.
If youāre getting a new Vehicle with the NACS port built in. All the research Iāve done and for the price. The Tesla Home Charger is still highly rated. I have one already installed cause I had a Tesla. But I just ordered a new Rivian and they also confirmed that the Tesla Home Charger...
Apparently Storm Blue with 20ā Black A/T and 22ā Bronze configurations are not built. Was the sales show room 2 days ago and the sales rep pretty much confirmed that my original 1 - 3 weeks delivery is definitely not going to happen since itās already 2 weeks. So looking like itālol...
I just ordered the Quad Lauch Edition. Still waiting for a VIN. But I did own a Tesla Model X. And with the factory default setting it would drain anywhere from 3% - 10% a day both depending on the weather and second changing a bunch of settings like sentry mode and certain climate controls...
