Congrats! Hope you have the same luck with it that I did yesterday, and also hoping this means the ramp up is progressing well / deliveries are at least accelerating in certain areas.
Interesting that there are still no GW in the shop and just the one 1 LE (which is basically just an overpriced...
I’m right at ~90 miles (north) of the ATL service center that’s over in Buckhead.
Also, while I think your comments / frustration with the rollout and delivery timing / communication (much of which I share since it still doesn't make a ton of sense how they're prioritizing right now) were made...
Thanks, I appreciate it. Oddly enough, I didn't get a guide assigned until after locking the shop configuration and I also didn't get an email telling me I had shop access (I check daily and it was just there as an option when I logged into my account today).
FWIW, I did a First Drive on 4/1...
Well... this escalated quickly.
After compulsively looking at the available options and refreshing all morning, just checked again about 30 minutes ago after wrapping a meeting and found almost my exact configuration staring at me so locked it in immediately (I'm talking about 15 seconds after...
Wheel upgrades are still included, I think those just all have various add-ons (paint, underbody shield, FE interior, and/or compact spare).
This one is $75,500 & has the wheel upgrade to the 22" brights (normally $1,800) included for free:
Here's another one with the 20" A/T upgrade also...
Just got access this morning (April 2021 preorder). Southeast and no GW available.
I'm pretty sold on just waiting it out for GW at this point, but going to shop around and see if I can find another option that checks all my other boxes (20" AT regular or bright and OC interior).
I'm sure...
It's definitely preference and I know a lot of people love it, I was just completely thrown off by how different they both appeared to me in person on the R1S vs. the R1T.
At the same time, all the colors look good and I don't think anyone would be upset with any of them so I wouldn't sweat it...
I know it's 100% preference, but I did a First Drive last weekend and for whatever reason the FG looked a lot better to me on the R1S than LG does (the truck is the opposite in my opinion - LG looks better than FG).
No idea why that is and not saying everyone will agree, but strongly recommend...
TLDR: It's too late for Rivian to reverse course, but I think they should have eliminated (or consolidated) LE trim production (now that no meaningful differences exist between trims) in order to simplify manufacturing and prioritize deliveries simply by order date and general production...
While there seem to be more Leafs around at MSRP than most other EV models, I still wish Congress would have made the tax credits unavailable for sales above MSRP. I think that would force the dealers to cut the game of using ADM to capture some or all of the benefit of the tax credit since a...
Can't speak to the Rivian, but my Lexus GX460 has sway assist and it basically detects once trailer sway reaches certain thresholds (no idea what those are or exactly how it is detected - presumably through some of the built-in radar sensors) and, once those conditions are met, it triggers and...
Nice. This one sold for $89,000 ($91,670 after 3% buyer premium) so it looks like the secondary market is finally cooling down some of these.
At those prices, it probably makes sense for most people with a post-March 2022 (price increase) reservation to go ahead and buy second hand at this...
I haven't taken delivery yet, but I did a quote with Progressive replacing a 2010 Prius that is currently on the policy (no other changes to levels of coverage or the other vehicles / drivers on the policy) and it added ~$1300 to our current annual premium (roughly double the current annual...
