If the realities of the environmental effects of coal-based generation didn't work effectively, the economies of alternate energy sources might: https://energynews.us/2021/05/05/solar-and-winds-competitiveness-over-coal-is-accelerating-analysis-shows/ When greener options prove to be even more...
  2. Let's take a moment to appreciate how well-thought-out the R1T and R1S are going to be

Well, to be fair, Rivian has its clunky past as Mainstream/Avera, so their 1.0 iteration was similarly unimpressive. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/avera-motors

The fob controls both. If there's a phone app, then likely there as well.
  4. The current State of charging in the US

It's a "2% solution." When adoption is still in its relative infancy then a thrown bone of charging in a hotel or steakhouse parking lot is appreciated. The infrastructure will grow with demand and, for now, a onesy-twosy charging location is welcome. It will not be a solution long-term but the...

  8. The current State of charging in the US

Not exactly realistic to assume that there will be zero growth in energy production capacity in 15 years. Renewables generate roughly the same amount of our energy as (rapidly declining) coal in 2021 and production has more than doubled since 2000. No reason to believe that trend won't continue...
  9. Inquiries Left Unanswered

Yes, clearly a pre-production inquiry to a prospective customer help site that is likely bound by what can be disclosed before formal announcements are made is an indicator of post-purchase customer service. You sure have their number.
