I was experiencing the same issue, grayed out “turn on” button. Here is what I did to solve the issue. Note: on iPhone
1. soft reset Rivian (holding far left and far right steering wheel buttons)
2. Logout of phone app
3. Delete app (including app data)
4. Turn phone off and back on
5. Download...
Just ordered some running boards, but they’re back ordered right now. Is the only point in drilling such a large hole is that you don’t have to remove the plastic panels to perform the install?
Picked up our R1S yesterday! 41 days from selecting from the shop to delivery. Loving it so far! Found a few items for service center ticket: speaker in headline drivers side is making a crackling noise, and moisture on rear passenger taillight.
@Lil'O Annie and @DuckTruck I wish we could make this! Sounds like a blast!! Unfortunately, I have work during the week with meetings I cannot move. I hope I can make the next outing.
Reached out to my guide to have them contact the service center as my R1S has been there for 12 days. I finally got the service center to call me and they explained there was an interior C-pillar trim piece that was damaged and they ordered a replacement. Then the replacement piece they received...
Going on 12 days at the Service Center doing "pre-delivery inspection". Still no contact from SC to schedule delivery. This seems longer than normal at the Service Center.
I was really surprised to see this! Heck I ordered from the shop and it’s been 5 weeks. It seems Rivian wants to increase their average MSRP (as RJ mentioned in a CBS interview). This will be a touchy move for existing pre-order holders.
Oh yeah I remember seeing the thread, so sorry about that, and glad you are safe. What insurance company did you have, and what was your experience getting a replacement? (If that’s in the other thread, let me know, I’ll just go read that).
What’s the story on your replacement R1T? Did your original fail PDI?
I wish it would open up too. I’ve already paid for the car, can I just swing by and get the “keys”??? Lol
