Yeah i've done extensive searching on the forum and I'm still undecided, so I turned to my fellow Canadian brethren who have to deal with the same climate lol.
I've ruled out the 21s for the time being. I could just do the 20s, but really dislike the constant hit on range I'll experience...
I see what's in this for both. Mercedes gets to take advantage of Rivian's expertise in EV mass production while Rivian gets to produce and sell their Vans in Europe without dealing with the massive capital investment of building a factory. Interesting to say the least.
Totally agree. The fact that there isn't a 20" option with an AS tire sucks. It would solve lots of my issues (1. I live in a climate where I need dedicated winters and don't want to get hit with the mileage penalty during the summer that I'll get with ATs 2. I want the forged wheel).
What's everyone's plan for winters? Historically on our XC90 we have two sets of tires, one of them being winters tires that we change out onto the OEM rims each season
I'm thinking might get the 21 Roads and get a set of 20in winter tires and wheels so at least in the summer we don't get hit...
Believe it or not, I don't care for them to start actual deliveries in December because it will only be a handful of cars in BC. What I want to see is them starting to make announcements on Service Centres (and of course Transport Canada Approval). SCs (or the lack thereof) will be the single...
Agree with this, I don't have my R1S yet obviously but this will annoy me. We go back to the garage to get something from the car at least 2-4 times a day (life with 2 young kids, lol).
I'm curious....Are there any inherent benefits to having a Rivian charger instead of just a 3rd party charger on 14-50 plug other than speed? Do we get better stats in the Rivian app at all or any other benefits?
So it looks like the BC/Alberta orders will likely be fulfilled first. My guess is that GTA then Montreal would be next since they're likely the next on the list for SCs
It's a race for me now. Our XC90 has been the best car we've ever owned...and we've owned different cars (Benz, BMW etc). If there's a fully electric XC90 at some point in the next year or two it might make me cancel my R1S pre-order. Even though it's not confirmed, Volvo will be able to scale...
Looks like you're in NB. To be honest, I think you'll be waiting until late 2023 or early 24. Here's my logic: Rivian hasn't even gotten Transport Canada approval. Even if they get it in September, they won't start delivering trucks probably until November or December. If that's the case they've...
