Can anyone explain why having a 180kW battery is a good thing? Why can't they develop a more efficient battery? Having a 150kW battery should be able to go 500 miles. Lucid has a smaller battery than ours and can go further. That's what we really need.
I'm also debating about doing this, but probably just a dual max gen2. I am going to wait until closer to the end of the year. I think with the tax credit ending, Rivian and every other EV company will try as hard as they can to get sells before it expires. I think that's when they'll have some...
I love the new app, but it can definitely improve.
they should have a total mile used .. right now it’s how many miles the car has used and how much regen miles you’ve added. So you have to do the math yourself to get the actual amount. They should add one more line to show the real amount...
Anything over 75mph and your range will take a big hit. I drive around 70 and constantly get 2.4-2.7kWh. It's hard to drive that slow, but I do it for the improvement in range.
Are we able to buy the lease, trade in our rivians, and get the incentives.. then immediately switch over to purchase and the trade in for our car can go towards the purchase price?
If Rivian were to do this, I would trade in my quad R1S for a dual max or tri motor.
This has happened a couple times in our Rivian. Thankfully the screens turn back on within a minute or two, while were driving. Seems the computer restarted itself on it's own. Freaked my wife out when she was driving.
I'm more annoyed after the latest software update, maps is completely gone...
Why Rivian doesn’t offer captain chairs is beyond me. I’m hoping gen3 will have them as an option. But great job! Keep us updated with how it goes!
What's your range? My bro in law might be selling his 20 inch OEM tires and rims. But he doesn't know what the going rate is. Tires have 8k miles on them.
On my 2024 R1T, Dual Motor, Standard+ Battery size, I see in the high 2's and low 3's when I drive to work and back. 35 miles each way, maybe 50-70mph, depending on traffic. But I am constantly in around 2.7kWh to 3.4kWh.
But in our 2023 Quad R1S, the same commute is in the high 1's..
Do you guys make a regular tent as well? Or just a roof top tent? I am interested in purchasing yours, because of how easy it is to set up and break down. But we are a family of 5, so we would need something bigger that could accommodate us. Do you have anything that big?
