I have 750 credits from leasing my 2025 R1S and am thinking about using them to buy the Rivian Home Charger. It currently has only a NACS connection. It seems like I can use a NACS to J1772 converter. Is there some problem I’m overlooking?

Traded my Tesla for my 2025 R1S. Already had the NACS level 2 charger installed for the Tesla and now have been using it with a NACS - J1772 converter. Bought a Lectron converter from Amazon - works great.

Time will tell, they make several L2 adapters. If it fails - I’ll have to get something else, but the option to use an adapter on a NACS charger is valid. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll keep an eye on it.

My Lectron adapter still works fine after 3 years. But I don't use it a lot, just at the odd hotel here and there that has the Tesla L2 chargers

The new Lectron charger, which is UL 2252 certified, is the way to go. I had a cheaper brand version and it quickly started overheating (photo). They were thankfully very willing to give me a refund. The fact that they didn’t even ask for the old adapter back leads me to believe it was a known issue. Here’s a link to the new recommended Lectron:
