I posted this a couple days ago on Reddit, but also wanted to share here. I was out hiking in the mountains Saturday, and had to drive in to the trailhead on a long road that was a railroad up until about 100 years ago.
Got back to the R1 after the hike and found a giant railroad spike in the tire! Thankfully was able to drive out the mile or so of 4wd road (she performed like a champ) before the tire started losing air, fast, once back on the smoother railroad grade.
Changing a tire on the shoulder of a narrow gravel road wasn't fun, especially after hiking all day, but we got it done. I only just bought the spare tire kit a month ago, too!
