Some screen even said Quad motor, lol. The software isn't done yet and still beta. Wassym said they are still tweaking it. So I would rely more on their press releases. The video with Kim and Jeff shows a different battery size
Surely it’s because it’s a test vehicle?
Right?
This is the good one. Especially his brief sit down with RJ on battery strategy. Rivian went for energy density and range over high kWh C rates. Per RJ, across the R1 fleet, the vast majority only DCFC about 10 times a year, so it didn't make sense to add extra cost to the battery pack for edge use.
This is where I get annoyed by the OoS team, because that's a very logical business decision that reflects an understanding of their customers, yet they will still hammer what they perceive to be poor charging performance as if it's a primary buying decision for the majority of drivers. This is the good one. 100%. While I prefer better charging, 10 extra minutes at a charger isn't going to ruin my day, nor my trip. This is where I get annoyed by the OoS team, because that's a very logical business decision that reflects an understanding of their customers, yet they will still hammer what they perceive to be poor charging performance as if it's a primary buying decision for the majority of drivers.
Was a good video except for the new camerawomen who inserted herself into the video too much or just kept talking to agree with Kyle. Seems to be the new girlfriend, hopefully over soon so normal service resumes. This is the good one. Especially his brief sit down with RJ on battery strategy. Bro… we are people too - that’s not a nice or fair comment to Scot. Was a good video except for the new camerawomen who inserted herself into the video too much or just kept talking to agree with Kyle. Seems to be the new girlfriend, hopefully over soon so normal service resumes.
Look at some of the comments on the video - others thought the same that we wanted to hear from you and having “I agree” or “yeah” from behind the camera added no value and broke the flow. Maybe it was the drinks you had before.Bro… we are people too - that’s not a nice or fair comment to Scot.
She does reviews; she’s a regular and a Gen2 R1S owner (well, it’s an OoS Rivian). She had her own walkaround with R2 yesterday. And she’s awesome. Loved her FSD video with her dad driving through Raleigh, NC (my neck of the woods). Was a good video except for the new camerawomen who inserted herself into the video too much or just kept talking to agree with Kyle. Doing her own videos and being in front of the camera is fine. It was commented by several that the regular interruptions from behind the camera in the video mentioned (tour of R2) was disruptive to the flow of the video. She does reviews; she’s a regular and a Gen2 R1S owner (well, it’s an OoS Rivian). Did you watch the video? Kyle completely agreed with RJ on the battery decision they made, but yes, he definitely has been hyper focused on that in that past. This is where I get annoyed by the OoS team, because that's a very logical business decision that reflects an understanding of their customers, yet they will still hammer what they perceive to be poor charging performance as if it's a primary buying decision for the majority of drivers.
I did watch the video, and I appreciated his response, but I can already see a 1:17 minute video coming where they completely dissect the charging performance and lament that it isn't on par with the top charging competitors.Did you watch the video?
