Just heard from my guide that my Rivian has been matched to my build.. and is in route to the dealer. Need him to provide a VIN so I can get that finance/insurance ball rolling.

When I log into the website, it doesnt show anything, so am kinda confused about it..

Edit: Vin of 032545 and a R VIN.. So 2024. Per the guide, rolled off the assembly line today.

I did find out that my old build... VIN 7PDSGABL3PN022680 was registered in Ohio.. So IL to CO to OH..

Built on 12/20/23 - A Wednesday. In the GM Union world, this is a good thing
Finished Quality Control Checks on 12/30/23.. A Saturday.. In the GM Union world, thats a huge area of concern.

Contacted last Wednesday that it would be 2-3 weeks.. Awaiting transportation.

5 days later (today) contacted that my Rivian is ready for delivery.. WTF!

Locked in at %5.24 again with USSFCU. Sent the loan app yesterday afternoon, approved this morning. Pretty simple process. Pick up scheduled for this Saturday.

I have to say, the "new" guide system SUCKS!

Before January 5th, I could shoot my guide a text, or email, and he would usually respond in 1 hour, or less, during business hours.

The new guide system, I am lucky to EVER get a response so far. Sent a message in on the 6th, got a canned response. Sent another on the 8th, and again today, and nothing.

I got a message from someone asking about uploading a insurance card naming the Rivian specifically, but Colorado does not require this, and my original guide knew this, and had no problem. I responded to the email, no response, but they did delete the insurance card I did have uploaded.

The remaining step I have is to upload an image of my down payment, and its tracking number. I am having the finance company include this amount on the finance check, which was sent out today. So there is no image to upload, and no tracking number to provide for the deposit. Cant reach anyone to get this step "fixed". I did upload an image of the check, and supplied a tracking number for the total check thou.

Got ahold of the delivery tech at the local Denver SC, and he contacted someone to get the down payment thing fixed.. Which required a re-signing of my contract. Only the 4th time doing that!

I also just realized that it will be exactly 2 years to the day since I placed my order, to delivery.

What are the chances of that?

I think I am ready........ I hope!

Found someone locally selling some R1S Rubber Floor Mats NIB. The ones with the yellow simple on them. He is meeting me at the SC just before delivery to make the exchange

Edit: Got my insurance info all done. I am with State Farm. My rate went up a bit. Was paying $65 for full coverage on my previous 2004 GMC Envoy. Thats now $122, Full coverage with 250/500/250 limits, $-0- deduct Comp, $100 deduct Collision, Free glass replacement, Towing, and rental.

The rear tablet holders (I got 2 kids!)
A cell phone holder, havent really decided about left or right. Thinking right.

The question for you is I see they have 3 different sizes for the ball. Arent the ball sizes pretty standard in the market? I just dont know what holder I am actually buying to know what size to get.

Hi Brian - Most mounts use the 17MM standard. RAM tends to use the 1" setup and Peak Designs tends to use the 20MM setup.

We are starting to see some that use the 16MM setup, but that's pretty rare.

Thanks for the info @RWerksman Will order something once I know which mount I am going with.

I reached out to my power company, and they have many different programs.

But with my home business that my wife runs, I am fairly certain that changing from the standard rate would not benefit me any..

Congrats! I also used USSFCU, similar rate, happy with that and was able to get through all the paperwork without too much trouble (thought it did require several phone calls). But now my issue is they have been totally unresponsive when I've tried to contact them re getting the title released to the state I'm registering in (Montana), which requires the title in hand (before returning it) to register the vehicle. I sent out the DMV document to them requesting it (which they're legally required to comply with) almost FOUR months ago. I've tried contacting them probably a half dozen times in the last couple months and only get run around, told they'll have someone call me back, even escalated to the "manager of the department" and still - nothing, not even a single call back.

So meanwhile I've had to deal with being pulled over a few times for not having plates and proving to the cop that I actually own the vehicle. The positive is not having to pay bridge tolls.... But it's a bit stressful. Long rant but this has majorly reduced my overall impression of USSFCU.
