That may be one that got caught in the HMG paint snafu.Got the invite to order on 8/27 and ordered that day a Half Moon Grey with 21" tires and black seats. Got my VIN #1761 assigned last night. VIN seems low for what folks are getting. Maybe I'm getting someone's rejected vehicle?
A rejected and re-released VIN probably has far lower chances of issues than a "normal" VIN. This one has been inspected with an even finer tooth comb than usual and would have just been scrapped if it couldn't be brought up to original production standard or higher.

How has your experience been with the Richmond SC and your R1S? I'm new to Rivian and pick up my R2 there on 9/19. It's a bit of a drive for me (little over an hour) and hoping I don't have to be there often! People working there seemed good when I did my test drive....but no other experience.
They've been great. As was the Austin SC when I was there. To be honest, I had almost no issues with my R1S, but when I did, Rivian SCs were really good... both in getting things fixed and how they treat you. Richmond SC seems much easier to get appointments too... Rivians are everywhere in Austin! If you are a distance away, I'd just make sure they have a loaner car for you. I think they default to Uber credits now. Works fine for me as I live so close, but I can imagine that doesn't work for folks that aren't close.
