Forest Green, Black interior, 21” ordered 8/18

Wonder if it's some sort of weird software nugget that a VIN is imminent. I'm forest green also but coastal cloud interior and 20" wheels. We will have to see if any other orders from anyone else look like that now.

I got my VIN on the 20th. Noticed the order page added the financing options now. Probably just a software update.

The introduction to the "Orders list" says "This list is only for people who have actually ordered (not just reserved) the R2."

As I look at it just now, there are 378 entries.

Scrolling down the web page further shows 11 pie-chart graphs headed "Tracking 378 reservations as of August 28, 2026"

While both sections list "378", the first is for actual "orders" and the second says "reservations".

I'm going to guess that those pie-charts are actually orders, not reservations. Am I correct?

Yeah, those charts are for the data in the spreadsheet (ie just orders). The header is probably just a typo from copy/paste as the Reservations sheet was created first and likely just copied over when orders opened up.

I ordered June 25. I got my VIN July 18. VIN #3301. Silver/21"/no options. [...]
Aug 5 I got a new VIN, #3323.

My delivery estimate was for today at 10am. It takes 20 minutes to get there, so at 9:39 I was opening the door to the garage, and the phone rang.

It's Rivian. My delivery is canceled; last night the car didn't take a software update. They'll let me know when I can reschedule.

3:30pm the same day: rescheduled for 5pm. Frunk struts need to be replaced but they don't have the parts; they'll give me a due bill and have mobile service come out to fix it.

5pm: Got the car! It is great. I had test-driven on 20" wheels, but glad I ordered the 21" - they still have a good ride but are sportier.

It does have a delivery date. Many people are updating their delivery window when they get a firm date and even updating again if their appointment moves.

What's missing is the date the VIN was added. The Google sheet has edit history, but only the admins have access to that.

My dashboard captures snapshots every 6 hours so it can rebuild an approximation of when info became available, assuming people update the sheet right away. I've also been maintaining manual overrides based on forum comments when people don't update the sheet. A velocity chart (time from order or VIN to delivery) is on my roadmap to add soon.

Got the invite to order on 8/27 and ordered that day a Half Moon Grey with 21" tires and black seats. Got my VIN #1761 assigned last night. VIN seems low for what folks are getting. Maybe I'm getting someone's rejected vehicle?
