Alternate options for alignment and tire mounting in Connecticut?

Hey all! Does anyone have an alternative to the Rivian service center for alignment and tire/wheel mounting and balancing? I can’t with good conscience pay Rivian prices for the service anymore when the service is not worth the cost of entry. I’m specifically looking in central Connecticut and not Fairfield County. Thanks!

Check to see if your local Discount Tire does alignments - mine doesn't, but I take my truck there for rotations and most recently, new tires. Service has been great.

No Discount Tire in CT as far as I’m aware.

If you have your own, Lift Pucks, any tire shop can swap and balance your tires.

Alignment is a tougher one since Rivian doesn’t allow non-service center shops access to their proprietary ride height.

Hi Scott, can you clarify "proprietary ride height". I was not familiar with that. Getting new non OEM tires in about a month and was having a local shop install, balance and align. THX

Since the suspension travels so much in the R1 platform, it is best to have the alignment done at Rivian. To my understanding (I just had mine done a few weeks ago), Rivian tests the alignment in multiple heights. The cost for this service was $325. They also will put it on the rack and if there are no adjustments needed, then there is no cost.

Any tire shop can swap tires if you have Jack Pucks and show them where and how to lift with them. I've done my own tire rotations on the Truck but had tires replaced at America's Tire and they had their own set of pucks.

When Rivian does an alignment- supposedly there is a level they set the suspension to between low and standard so that it’s a good alignment at both of those common stances.

That is what I was specifically referring to.

Other shops can absolutely do in a Rivian alignment if they have the knowledge. They just don’t have access to that specific suspension height.
