Lectron J1772 to Tesla Adapter Too Tight on R2?

I have an L2 Emporia Classic charger that uses a J1772 connector. I bought the Lectron J1772 to Tesla Adapter from Amazon and the fit on the R2 charging port almost feels too tight. It really requires a good amount of pressure to plug it in and extra force to unplug. Is this normal? I'm a noob to NACS charging, so just curious. Was considering returning to Amazon and buying the adapter from the Rivian shop, but thought I'd check in with the forums first, as I haven't seen this issue discussed yet. Appreciate the feedback!

I haven't used this specific adapter yet, but my experience with the NACS-CCS adapters is that they are always tight on first use. The fit improves with time.

Good to know. I'm on about two weeks of ownership of my R2, and not a ton of charges yet.

Following up from a previous thread. Rivian allowed me to demo drive another R2 to try on my home chargers (dual gen 2 Tesla HPWC). It too was tight as my R2. So I eliminated that it's an issue with just my R2.

The other thing I noticed is my HPWC "head" (the tip that inserts into the port) was textured plastic (on both), but all of the Rivian NACS and super chargers were smooth.

It doesn't look like Tesla sells these cables by themselves anymore, nor would I be guaranteed that they would also not have this issue.

Since my only optioned appeared to completely replace these HPWC I decided to take some sand paper to the head/tip and sanded it down to a smooth finish.

It's much better now and I'll probably shave a bit more off. Still doesn't help running into some theoretical remote charger with the same issue that works on the Tesla but not R2, but I can live with that chance but not having it stick all the time at home.

These HPWC were created before the NACS standards and I am guessing that tolerances are a bit different.
